Good morning, everyone! It is a brisk morning here in New York and I'm hoping we see the sun FINALLY! I could sure use a little sunshine. We are still here helping my parents out after my dad's accident and we will be here another week because...HE'S COMING HOME! Yup, they decided that they can't do anything for him in the rehab center that can't be done at home so, next week, he's going to be home. My mom and I have been working hard to get everything set up here to make it easy on him and her. I think it will be a big boost in his recovery to be in his own home and I'm pretty sure it will make things easier on my mom. We are staying to help with the transition and to get everyone settled and then we will make out 2-day trek back to Iowa. That also means the boys get to trick or treat in New York this year! I think my mom is just as excited as the boys are for that. ;) We have certainly made some time for fun while we've been here so I thought I'd share the boys' silly picture. I was taking my annual boy photos in the gorgeous fall colors and the boys wanted to do a crazy picture. Who am I to say no to that?
Oh yeah, you guys probably are on my blog to see my CAS(E) this Sketch card, right? Well, I guess I can share that with you too! ;) I just happen to LOVE this sketch. What a fun and creative idea and SO many ways that you guys can interpret it. What do you think?
I had a ton of fun with this one and went a little crazy with my combo of patterns.
How fun is this? Oh! Did you notice that I have some new backgrounds that I'm playing with? I'm loving this combo with the dark wood and dots of light. It really helps this card pop...not that it needed too much help. My patterned papers are from on of my Studio Calico card kits and those fabulous bells are Lil' Inker Designs' Jingle Bell die set. The "Merry" die is from Simon Says Stamp and I finished that off with one of the stars that came out of my bells. LOVE!
I hope you liked my card and will come join us this week for an amazing challenge. Come play at CAS(E) this Sketch. I know you are going to have a blast!! ;)

CTS #95
Morning everyone! Today is a great day and a crappy day all rolled into one. On the great side of it, my middle son is turning 8 today! He's such an amazing boy and a total snuggle bug. It is SO hard to believe he's 8. Crazy! Another great thing about today is that it is time for another new challenge for CAS(E) this Sketch. This week is one of my sketches and I hope you enjoy it and play along. We'd love to have you. On the crappy side of things, I got a call from my mom yesterday that my dad is in the hospital with a broken femur and knee cap. One in one leg and one in the other. UGH! He's having surgery this morning for the broken femur so I'd really appreciate any thoughts and prayers you could direct his way. These are the times that make being so far apart unbearable. I know in my head everything will be fine but I worry and it's even worse when I can't be there. Let's get back to the happy though. Here's my cute little birthday boy:
Here's the fun sketch and my card for the week!
My card is just a random mix of stamps and elements from past Studio Calico card kits. I hope you like it and will join us this week at CAS(E) this Sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Finally finished!
Yes, my baby will be 2 on Thursday and I am JUST finishing up his 1st year scrapbook. I admit it, I let this one get WAY out of my scrapbooking scope but far worse is our yearly family albums. February of 2010 is the last month I have scrapbooked. Hmm...I wonder what happened in March that got me so behind?
It couldn't have been this little bit of sleeping perfection, could it? Whatever the cause, I'm behind!!!! I can, however, check one thing off my catch up list. I finished Micah's first year scrapbook this week and caught up on all the "to file" kids memorabilia. Whoa, I had no idea how much I had let it slide. Lucky for me, Becky Higgins inspired me to get on top of it all. I had a couple brainstorms along the way that I will share in another post. The most important this is, I'm working on it all!
So, here are the final pages to Micah's scrapbook. You would think that only having 4 pages left to do, I could have gotten this done months ago. We'll you thought WRONG! ;) Here you go:
There is one more page that I didn't get a chance to photograph before I realized I had left my camera on and drained the battery. UGH! So, Micah's 1st birthday page will be on here shortly! I also have a glimpse into how I document our family's moments that I will be sharing soon also! Hope you enjoyed the pages!

Mr. Roboto...
My silly boys were all home this afternoon due to the weather and we had a blast! My two oldest decided that their younger brother (who is just learning to walk) looks like a robot when he's walking. So, everyone in the house had to be a robot for the rest of the afternoon. What silly boys! Here's a peek at the adorable boys I must endure:

Their craziness inspired me to make a cute little robot card! Luckily, I could justify using the Gypsy during our little robot game by saying it was my control pad! ;) I welded two robot shadows together to form a card and re-sized height and width independently so I could make it approx card sized...4.25" x 5.5". It was super simple and turned out super cute!

Not nearly as cute as my boys though...

Hope you are having an awesome day!
