CTS #95

Morning everyone!  Today is a great day and a crappy day all rolled into one.  On the great side of it, my middle son is turning 8 today!  He's such an amazing boy and a total snuggle bug.  It is SO hard to believe he's 8.  Crazy!  Another great thing about today is that it is time for another new challenge for CAS(E) this Sketch.  This week is one of my sketches and I hope you enjoy it and play along.  We'd love to have you.  On the crappy side of things, I got a call from my mom yesterday that my dad is in the hospital with a broken femur and knee cap.  One in one leg and one in the other.  UGH!  He's having surgery this morning for the broken femur so I'd really appreciate any thoughts and prayers you could direct his way.  These are the times that make being so far apart unbearable.  I know in my head everything will be fine but I worry and it's even worse when I can't be there.  Let's get back to the happy though.  Here's my cute little birthday boy:

Here's the fun sketch and my card for the week!

My card is just a random mix of stamps and elements from past Studio Calico card kits.  I hope you like it and will join us this week at CAS(E) this Sketch.  Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Oh Chrissy. I will certainly keep your dad in my prayers. I love the stamping on your card over the patterned paper. The elements have been placed perfectly.

  3. What a fun card. Hope the bday day goes well - and your Dad's surgery too. I'm with you on the distance thing. It is SO tough. Be patient and don't worry too much.

  5. My son Max will be 8yr in November and he is a total snuggle bug too!! I'll be so sad when he's too old to kiss and cuddle his Mum anymore.... So sorry to hear about your Dad but sounds like he is in the best place. Its so hard being far away from them but they know you are sending your love and would be there if you could. And I'm sure they have lots of friends to support them too!! Hope your son had a wonderful birthday (is he mad on Lego too??) and just love the simplicity of your card. It really is amazing!!
