CTS #350

Good morning and welcome to another awesome week of sketch fun!  I hope you will all be able to join us over at CAS(E) this Sketch for this super fun challenge.  You won't want to miss what the team has created!  Here's my card for the week:

I had a great time with this sketch and I got to use a stamp set that I have been dying to use since I purchased it. I stamped the Jolly Holly Cling & Clear Stamp Set from Taylored Expressions first in gold ink on my kraft card base. Next, I stamped it in black and filled in with the clear stamps using two different colors of green and red. I trimmed this piece so that it would match up with my background lines and added it with foam tape. Next, I cut Merry from gold cardstock using the retired Winter Words Die Set. I layered that with some red glitter tape and green cardstock stamped with a sentiment from the retired Winter Words Coordinates. Here's a closer look:

CTS #347

Good morning! Guess what we have? SNOW!!!! Just what I was hoping for in November (insert sarcastic voice here). Luckily, the temp should go up enough today to melt most of it away. Those of you have already had feet of snow...I don't know how you do it. I love a good snow in December but I'm a fair weather snow lover. Blame it on my Florida upbringing. Ha ha! Something I do love and look forward to each week is our new sketches at CAS(E) this Sketch. This week's sketch is a Retro Sketch and it is always so fun to look back at the cards we made the first time around. You can check it out here:  CTS #138.  Here's my take on it this go around.

I used one of my all time favorite nativity stamp sets from Hero Arts on this card. It is one of those sets that I just can't replace no matter how many new nativity sets come out. It's the perfect size and I love the sentiments. I inked up the background and then stamped the images before cutting them out with some rounded rectangles. I layered the image of white to add some separation between the stripes in the rays and the stripes on the background paper. I hope you like it!

Good afternoon you guys! Yup, I'm a little late getting my card posted. I realized this morning that I made a card but didn't photograph it. It's not easy to resolve that problem at 6:00 in the morning when the sun is still down. Don't worry though, I finally got a picture or two and can share my card. I had a blast with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch card but created something that wasn't at all what I had in mind when I created the sketch. Who knows what I was thinking...ha ha. Here's what I finally came up with:

I have been dying to use these snow globes from Pinkfresh Studio since I pre-ordered them FOREVER ago. I created my globe with the cute pink house and some of the star/snowflakes(?) in the pack. I also stamped some snow inside. I used an older piece of patterned paper from a Reverse Confetti paper pack and added some more snowflakes and enamel dots outside of my central image. A Little More Christmas

Happy Monday!  I decided it was time to share a little more of my Christmas creations with you guys.  I've been working hard on building my Christmas card stash and if you are anything like me, you could always use a little extra inspiration.  Hopefully, I can give you a little this morning.  ;)

I apologize in advance for any typos.  I have a super helpful assistant on my keyboard this morning.

Lucky for him, I can't resist that whiskery face.  Loki decided that I should share this card with you today and who am I to argue?

I started this card by grabbing a fun paper pack from Pebbles called Merry Merry and started diecutting the Frantic Stamper Bitty Winter Postage die set from various patterned papers.  I backed them with some white glitter tape pieces before arranging them on my card base make with kraft paper and a piece of patterned paper from the Merry Merry pack.  I added a strip of glitter tape and a strip of kraft paper stamped with a sentiment I created with the Frantic Stamper Retro Label Maker Christmas Sentiments stamp set.  I finished it off with a wooden snowflake.  Super fun!  Here's a closer look:
