CTS #311

Hello!!  How's everyone doing??  Is anyone else buried deep in snow like I am?  ;)  I keep telling myself not to complain but it is really difficult and I'll just go with, I can't wait for spring to get here!  I'm totally ready for it.  I'm also ready to share the card I made with you for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!  Here it is:

I have been needing some sympathy cards and I wanted to keep this one a little more gender neutral.  So, I grabbed some navy cardstock and made my card base.  Next, I cut this awesome pattern with the new Lil' Inker Designs Mod Circles Die.  I attached it to another piece of navy and then cut a portion with a Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Square.  I love how that gave me the stitched look around then edge.  I attached this to my card front with foam tape and then cut the With Sympathy Word Die from some gray card stock.  I wanted to keep it nice and clean and simple and I think it turned out great!  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card today and I hope to see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

  1. This totally turned out great. I love the geometric background and how it is tone on tone with the card base.

  2. Howdy Chrissy,

You really nailed this with using one color with two different textures - makes your sentiment make a bold statement. I think this color is a good one for a sympathy card.
