CTS #401

Good morning!! I seriously think I may be losing my mind this morning. Ha ha! I am having the hardest time organizing my thoughts and keeping on task. I'm not sure why since it isn't like I'm running around to this and that this season. Maybe it is because I'm not? How's that? I'm going to try to get myself together and get this post done because I'm excited to share this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge with you guys. It's a great sketch this week and I really hope you'll join us. Here's my take:

I dug through some ephemera I have been hoarding in my Christmas stash to make this card today. I thought the polar bear tag was just perfect so I wrapped some twine at the top and put it on my snowy background. Next, I added a banner sticker, a snowflake sticker, and a sentiment sticker. Not a single stamp used on my card but it did help to deplete a little of my overwhelming stash of Christmas supplies. Ha ha! Here's a closer look:

Good morning!  I hope you've checked out this morning's post over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  The challenge this week is great!  Of course, they always are!  If you are stopping by after seeing my card over there...thanks so much!  I'm flattered that you wanted to see how I made my crazy creation.  :)  You guys are awesome!  Here's what I created for this week:

I have been trying to get back in the card making mood so I decided that I needed a project to get me going. So, I decided to get ready for our Church celebrating Confirmation this fall. My middle guy just started his Confirmation journey last year and has another year to go but I know how much work goes in to completing this step in their church lives. So, I want to make sure the kids know that we are proud of them. For this card, I used and awesome paper pack from Illustrated Faith given to my by my also pattern paper addicted friend, Jen. It is an awesome pack and I have a hard time using it because I don't want it to be gone. Ha ha! I trimmed out a piece that had this awesome sentiment on it and then cut a white on white layered cross with some Simon Says Stamp dies. It is a super simple card but I think it will be perfect to give to one of our awesome teens! Here's a closer look:

It's Thursday, Thursday, Thursday and I'm coming to you guys with my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I really hope you'll enjoy it and have a blast creating with it. I sure did. Don't miss out on our amazing team's takes on the sketch. They always has tons of gorgeous creations for you! I actually got down and made a card for you guys and, lucky for me, my cat helped. I bet you can see exactly where he was so helpful...

Yup, I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink (I can't remember the exact set this Hello came from because it has been on a block on my desk FOREVER!) and my sweet kitty "helped" me dry the sentiment. So, it is a little smeared but I still love the card. I used a paper pack from The Stamp Company and actually used the cover of the paper pack to get the stripes and used some border dies to cut them in a wave like pattern. I finished the card off with some puffy star stickers. Here's a closer look at my smear! Ha ha!

Good morning and happy July! This week at CAS(E) this Sketch we have an awesome retro sketch and because I've been sick this week, I'm taking it WAY back. I'm hoping to get down to the craft room today to actually make a new card for this week's sketch but I didn't want to leave you with nothing this week. So I used one of the many cards I made for this sketch way back in the day. This one is from when I was on the Sweet Stamp Shop design team and what a fun gig that was! Here's the card from way back then:

Wow, is this ever a blast from the past. I know the Artsy Fartsy set isn't available still but I know a ton of companies have created similar sets since then. So, you shouldn't have a problem finding something similar but I will link to other options below. I kept this card pretty darn simple with just some coloring and some layering. Hopefully, now that I'm feeling better I can get a new card up but I do hope you at least enjoyed this one. I don't know what it was about his year but my allergies decided to plug my head full in February and sit there until this week. Finally, it all drained but that is a weird and painful process in and of itself. Lucky, things seem to have evened out and I can hear again! Woo hoo!
