Lil' Inker Designs October Release Day 1

Hi, you guys!  It's day one of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop and I'm super excited to share all the new products with you!  I think you are really going to enjoy this release and all the new inspiration from our team.  It's packed with fun, as always and, lucky for you, all the new products are available right now at the Lil' Inker Store!  We have an amazing blog hop for you today so, hopefully, you are coming from Caly's blog and if not, you won't want to miss her amazing creations!  Make sure you didn't miss anyone and start at the Lil' Inker Blog.  Now for the fun!

My first card today uses the gorgeous Classic Christmas Stamps along with the new Season's Greetings Word Die.

I started this card by stamping and coloring some images from Classic Christmas Stamps.  I wanted to keep the colors a little soft because I wanted to use them with this woodgrain snowflake paper.  When I got all the images colored and cut out, I felt it needed a little something more than just the beautiful rose gold sentiment cut with the Season's Greetings Word Die.  So, I added a rectangle of vellum cut with the previously released Side-Stitched Rectangles.  It was just enough to make the sentiment pop even more.  I added some glossy accents here and there for a little extra shine.  Here's a closer look:

My second card today uses the Pie Die Set and Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps.

I wanted to create a little sentiment of my own that reminded me of a chalkboard sentiment so this whole card started with that idea.  First, I cut my tag using Anytime Tags 2 from kraft cardstock and stamped portions of my sentiment using the new Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps and an old favorite of mine, the So Thankful Stamps I added some of the cute images from the same sets to add a little more of that hand lettered feel.  Then I got to building this card.  I chose a fun plaid for the main patterned paper because the orange in it looked so pumpkin like and I knew I was going to use the little pie I made with the Pie Die Set on this card.  I tried layering my pie with just the tag cut it wasn't looking how I wanted it to so I cute some green paper with a Long & Skinny Rectangle.  I slide the top part of my tag under the border and it was the perfect banner now!  I added some twine and my pumpkin to finish things off.  Here's another look:

Thanks so much for looking at my little bit of fall and little bit of Christmas!  Thanks for checking me out and don't forget about our giveaway!

CTS #236

Good morning!!  Is anyone already settled in their back to school routines?  Wowza!  I woked up "late" this morning and feel like I'm chasing my own tail.  Ha ha!  Luckily, I know that slowly but surely I'll get back in the groove but I'm totally not there yet.  Lucky for me, I'm almost always in the groove when it comes to sketches and this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge is no exception.  Here's my card:

I had a great time with this card and it all started with this adorable giraffe from Pink Fresh Studio.  I decided to keep him black and white to go with the background paper.  Then I added a punch of color with a yellow piece cut using Stitched Mats: Side-Stitched Rectangles.  I needed a place for my sentiment so I went with a black piece of cardstock cut with a Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangle.  Then, I decided I needed something between the giraffe and the yellow so I softened it with a piece of polka dot vellum cut with a Fringe Scalloped Circles Die.  I finished it all off with some puffy stickers from Elle’s Studio Live Love Laugh collection.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking in with me today!  I hope you'll join us at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!  See you there!

Lil' Inker Designs June Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  I'm your first stop on the blog hop today and I hope to get you all excited to visit the rest of the team.  If you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

First up, I made this cute little birthday card using the new Sassy Script Stamps.

I started this card with the fun patterned paper which made me want to use the amazing Balloon Dies to up the fun factor even more.  I layered a striped paper on my polka dot card base.  See the subtle black specks on my striped paper?  Well, I accidentally dropped a black ink pad on a corner of the paper (it happens when you are a messy crafter).  At first I was angry and was going to throw it away but then, I decided to drop my ink pad a few more times and see how it looked.  Turns out, it was a happy mistake.  To bring in a little more black, I diecut the Stitched Scallop Border Die from a black and white patterned paper and added it to my focal point which I had embossed part of my sentiment stamped with the Sassy Script Stamps.  I create birthday cards for my church to mail out and it is always challenging to find the right sentiment.  Sassy Script Stamps makes it a breeze since I can create my own!  To finish my sentiment, I inked just the "have a" portion of a sentiment from Kite Flying Stamps.  I added my Stitched Scallop Border Die and finished off the sentiment with letters cut using the Mixed & Stitched Alphabet Die Set.  I drew a sting and added my star balloon and some enamel dots to finish it all off.  Here's a closer look:

Next up, I decided to go a touch masculine with Sassy Script Stamps.

I started this card with a water colored panel cut with Side-Stitched Rectangles.  I used Sassy Script Stamps to stamp more of my sentiment this time and still used Kite Flying Stamps to finish it off.  I thought the card needed a stamped element to help anchor the sentiment so I added the branch from Vintage Ink Stamps.  Some enamel dots and a navy card base finish off the card.  I think it will make a great guy card!

My final card for today features the recently release Perfect Pairs Die Set.

The Perfect Pairs Stamp Set is one of my favorite stamp sets!  I just adore the cute little images and the sentiments are super fun too!  Having the Perfect Pairs Die Set just makes them even more fun!  I started this card with some fun patterned paper from the Tribal Chic Paper Pack.  I cute some using the Dual Stitched Triangle Dies and arranged them across the front of my card.  I stamped my eggs and bacon using the Perfect Pairs Stamp Set and cut it out with the Perfect Pairs Die Set.  After coloring them, I added them with the sentiment to my card.  Can't think of a more perfect pair than bacon and eggs!  Yum!

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura gives out a $15 Lil' Inker Designs store credit to a lucky commenter each day of the hop.  It could be you.  I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects.  See you then!
