CTS #147

Good morning!  I was talking to myself while I was typing the title of this post and it totally made me feel like Captain Kirk.  Chrissy's blog, stardate CTS#147.  We are having some fun with die cutting today.  The crew seems to enjoy this new sketch but only time will tell what the rest of the universe thinks.  Ha ha ha!!  The things you think about before your first cup of coffee.

I'm still on a bit of a birthday high today.  It was a super fun day full of cards made by my boys and even a silly poem from my husband.  My workout was great and I got to have poutine for dinner!  Woo hoo!  Does it get better than that.  Oh!  There was also bread pudding...  See?  Pretty awesome!  Now  I get to start the day with you guys sharing my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  Just perfect!  Here's my card:

I started with my Fancy Pants 6x6 Making Waves paper pad and a fun polkadot background.  I started cutting suns from various colors using the Sunshine Die Small and Sunshine Die Large from Lil' Inker Designs.  I layered this in the bottom corner with some enamel dots and a button then cut a tag to use as a banner from Anytime Tags 2 and layered a stripey banner cut using the Sentiment Flag Original Die.  My sentiment comes from the newly revamped and re-released Sunshine Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you liked my card and take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!  Come have fun with us!  Capt Kirk, out!!  ;)

  3. Hello Chrissy: I just love your festive and beautiful card, the DSP is so colorful and just perfect for a birthday card. Those little flowers really are a sweet detail.
And I agree, I kind of not think to straight before that very important first mug of coffee, as I'm coming downstairs, the aroma of the freshly brewed pot of Java, starts working it's magic and then, that first sip.....ahh!! can't get any better than that at 4am.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs and coffee,
    Maria Rodriguez.
