A Simple Swirl For An Elegant Card

Happy Tuesday, you guys!  I hope you guys are ready for another card I created using the Frantic Stamper December Love and Music release products!  This one is one I struggled with a bit but in the end, I love what came of that struggle.  See what I mean?

The Simple Swirl Die is SO simple that it almost stumped me in for to use it.  I thought about using it as a flourish inside the card or on an envelope and about a million other ideas but none of them was the right way for me.  Then I had an idea to try to make a border with multiple cuts.  I started with two scored lines on my stone card base to help me keep everything straight and lined up.  Then I started cutting the Simple Swirl Die over and over again from black and layering them one by one in a row on my card.  So far, so good but you could see the little spots where they came together and I wanted those covered up.  To fix it, I cut a piece of black card stock just big enough to run down and make a consistent joint and then I needed a bit of color so I added a smaller turquoise strip.  I finished it off with a sentiment from the Sing It Clear Stamp Set.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you are having a wonderful week.  See you later!
