Well, it's the last day of our new release hop at Lil' Inker Designs and I'm super excited to show off these last couple products. Hopefully, you started out at the the Lil' Inker Blog so you don't miss a stop on the hop and have come here from the amazing Angel's blog. If you are feeling a little lost, make sure you hop back to the Lil' Inker Blog to get back on the trail of fun. You can also check out the Lil' Inker Store where all of the new release goodies, and a whole lot more, are ready and waiting for you to put in your cart!
My first project uses the amazing new Color Blocking Die and the adorable Bunny Buddies Stamp & Die Bundle.
I had a great time layering this card with the new Color Blocking Die.
I wanted to make sure that my cuts all lined up so, I cut all my papers
to card front size and ran them all three (one on top of the other)
through my die cutting machine. The die cut through the top two layers
and left an imprint on the third so that I could line it up just right
when I cut it using the Happy Birthday Border Die. I layered all my background pieces for a fun and bright background. Next, I stamped and cut my bunny using the Bunny Buddies Stamp & Die Bundle.
I cut a few extra and trimmed off the balloons to add to my little guy
giving him a nice balloon bouquet. I added a little hand trimmed banner
with the sentiment and it was all good. Here's another look of the
finished card:
My final card uses one of the coolest cover plates ever, Quilted Stitched So Sunny. I also Color Blocking Die used the for a little extra fun!
I cut a black card front sized paper using the Color Blocking Die and offset it to show the gold card base beneath. I decided the larger panel needed some pattern so I used the Quilted Stitched So Sunny
to give me just the right amount of texture. I couldn't decide what
color to make my sentiment cut but I've always liked black gold and
kraft. So, I started there. I cut the word because partially using the
Because Word Die
leaving it still attached to the rest of the card stock beneath the
word. This gave me an area below to stamp the rest of my sentiment from
Because Stamp Set.
I trimmed around the lower sentiment creating a frame. I didn't like
the look of it all in kraft so I cut another because from vellum and
layered it on my kraft cut. Next, I stamped some of the leaves from the
Because Stamp Set
on vellum and while the ink was still wet, I added a little gold
embossing to areas of the leaves. With everything else on the card
front, I added some gold sequins for a little extra shine Here's a
closer look:
