CTS #136

Good morning everyone!  We are headed to the Iowa State Fair this morning...fried stuff on a stick anyone?  ;)  The boys are super excited and I have to admit, so am I!  I feel like a little kid.  There's just something magical about the state fair and no matter how crowded or hot, we always have a great time.  I am a little sad that there will be no chickens at the fair this year.  That's always one of my favorite spots.  I love to look at all the gorgeous breeds and pick what I want to add to our little flock.  A girl HAS to have options.  ;)  I guess I'll have to focus my attention on talking the hubby into "needing" goats this year.  Ha ha.  We'll see.

I'm also excited to share my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  You can check out the sketch on the blog and join us there by adding your card to the line up.  I'd LOVE to see what you create.  Here's my card:

My card this week was super simple but I love how it turned out!  I think I'll be doing this with some other colors and patterns.  I started with a Dip Dyed Ombre background from Lil' Inker Designs.  I used my curvy Border Builder's Die to curve my sentiment just right on my acrylic block.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Photo Bomb stamp set.  I stamped my sentiment on the background and then die cut two different colors of Ombre Stripes with the Border Builder's Die and layered them around the sentiment allowing the green to peek out from under the purple.  I trimmed off the excess paper from the top and bottom and added it to a folded card base.  Super simple!

I hope you'll come join us over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!  We'd love to see you.  Here are the awesome products I used today:
