Good morning! You know summer is interesting for me. I always think that it's going to be SO relaxing and laid back but it never is. We are still finishing up a few subjects in school but now I'm running boys to baseball and camp and running and running... Ahhhh! I just want to put up a hammock and kick back. Maybe in the fall. Ha ha! Well, I do have some time to squeeze in my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I hope you'll enjoy it. I really had a good time with this sketch!
How cool is this heart? Funny story...I cut this heart out of the Cover Up Die: Faceted to use as a template for my card for the May Monthly Meetup. I used it to get the green vellum cut just right to layer behind and show off the hidden heart in the Cover Up Die: Faceted. I just set it on my desk when I was done and didn't give it another thought. When I saw this sketch, however, I knew I had saved it for a reason. I wanted to make it the star so I didn't want to layer it on something that might take away from it. The open space in Instant Camera Die the was just perfect. A frame without filling up the pretty faceted spaces and it had the perfect spot for a sentiment! So, I used one from the Balloon Builders stamp set. I set it on my patterned paper but the paper was too much coming through my opening so I decided to add a layer of vellum to soften things and really make the heart pop. I decided the cute detail on the Dual Dotted Rectangles Dies would be perfect. I just love those dots.
I hope you liked my card and will join us over at CAS(E) this Sketch for another fun week. If you loved all my Lil' Inker goodies, you might want to check out my June Monthly Meetup post and join us in that challenge as well. It would work really well with the sketch this week! Here are the fun products I used today:
SO pretty...... lovely colors/detail!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I've seen a few faceted hearts around lately and it's made me think of cutting out just the heart from the the Cover Up plate. I'm so glad you tried it because it looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so fun!
