Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you all are bright eyed and busy tailed this morning. ;) I'm SLOWLY getting there. Just give me a couple more cups of coffee. Ha ha! I have been furiously packing today for a fun crafty weekend starting tomorrow. I decided at the last second, however, to drive a portion of the drive today which meant that I couldn't wait until this afternoon to do my packing as I planned. Luckily, I had it all planned out in my head and I got everything (I hope) loaded up and ready to go! It's going to be a fun weekend, almost as fun as this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!
I'm getting pretty good with these transitions...you better watch out! Ha ha! Here's this week's sketch:
My card this week went REALLY gold. I was just feeling the shine and sparkle thing, I guess. ;)
Lots of shine! My husband will like this card and I'm sure when he sees it he will say, "Gold will shine in '99!" He was the class of 1999 at the Air Force Academy and that was their extremely dorky class slogan. No accounting for taste...ha ha! Back to the card...I layered this awesome star printed vellum onto a black card base. I must admit that I ordered this vellum in an add on pack from Studio Calico a while ago and this is the first piece I have used. It won't be the last, however. I really like it! I added a strip of gold glitter tape from American Crafts and then tipped my Studio Calico pocket card just a bit to follow the sketch. To finish it up, I added some random glitter stars, dots, and bling to the card front.
I hope you liked my take on this sketch and that you'll join us at CAS(E) this Sketch this week. I can't wait to see what you create! Have a great weekend, I know I will. ;)
