Hi everyone! Well it's another Thursday and I'm happy to share another sketch with you for CAS(E) this Sketch. It's also Sept 11th. I always wake up with a sense of gloom on this day each year remembering the events of 2001 like it was yesterday. It is hard to believe it was 13 years ago. I was still a silly little 2nd Lieutenant trying to figure out where I fit into the larger Air Force puzzle. We were stationed in Washington state and were just waking up and getting ready for the day. Things got crazy pretty quick and I learned very quickly that not only was I a part of an amazing organization in the Air Force but I was a citizen of an amazing country full of amazing people. I knew this before Sept 11th, of course, but we get so spun up in our day to day lives that we seem to forget how great and caring the people of this world are. This day not only reminds of the terrible events of that day but serves as a reminder to me to be thankful for the people around me everyday that make being human so special. Thanks for all that you do for the world around you everyday. Each and every one of you touch my life in some way or another no matter where you are in the world and I appreciate it.
Hope you don't mind my little rambling this morning but I wanted to make sure you all know that I am so happy to know you even if we haven't met personally. You are all amazing! Now for another amazing thing...this week's sketch. How's that for a transition. Ha ha!
Cute isn't it? Sam really created a fun one for this week! Here's my card.
I used some Purple Onion Designs stamps to create this cute little winter scene. I have Therese to thank for talking me into these cuties. I have always loved her creations and each and every time she breaks out a Purple Onion Designs stamp, I'm sold! ;) Thanks, Therese! The paper is from my Studio Calico card kit. I flipped the sketch and love how the trees really capture the original intent of the sketch. I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you'll play along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch! I'll see you there!
