Lil' Inker Designs October Release Day #1

Hi, you guys!  It's day one of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop and I'm super excited to share all the new products with you!  I think you are really going to enjoy this release and all the new inspiration from our team.  It's packed with fun, as always and, lucky for you, all the new products are available right now at the Lil' Inker Store!  We have an amazing blog hop for you today so, hopefully, you are coming from Jessica's blog and if not, you won't want to miss her amazing creations or anyone's for that matter!  So make sure you didn't miss anyone and start at the Lil' Inker Blog.  Now for the fun!

My projects today feature the products that are a little more whimsical and fun in my mind.  I started with probably my favorite set, Rustic Christmas stamps and the Rustic Christmas dies.  I just love the sketchy look of these.  Totally gorgeous!

I have been hoarding this gorgeous paper since last Christmas.  I was just waiting for the perfect stamp set to make the most of it and I found that in Rustic Christmas.  It almost looks like they were made for each other.  So, I started with this cute mountain scene and added a Dual Dotted Circle cut from the Super Kids Paper and stamped with the city scene in Rustic Christmas.  Next, I stamped and cut some trees and snowflakes in matching inks using the Rustic Christmas dies.  I cut a Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangle from our Ombre Stripes Paper Pad to stamp with the sentiment and layer with all the trees around the city.  A few sequins for some sparkle and my card was complete.  Here's a closer look:

Next up, something cute and a little snarky.  The Moody Santa Stamps and Moody Santa Dies fit the bill perfectly!  I paired those with a word from the new Brush Script Christmas Word Dies.  They are GORGEOUS!

I started this card with a paper from the Tribal Chic Paper Pack.  I just loved how the colors were Christmasy but not exactly.  I like playing with different colors at Christmas.  Next, I cut this gorgeous snowflake paper with the Silly Stitched Die Set.  I layered this on my card front and added a Stitched Scallop Border using paper from the So Prickly Paper Pack.  I stamped my sentiment from Moody Santa Stamps on a graph pocket scrapbooking card and trimmed it to fit under my border but not over the snowflake layer.  Next I stamped my santa using the fun faces included in the Moody Santa Stamps and cut him out using Moody Santa Dies.  I colored him with copic and added him to my card front.  Next, I added a Brush Script Christmas Word cut in black.  My card felt like it had a little hole in it so I thought about adding presents and the perfect present was in the Party Pachyderms Stamps.  Here's a closer look:

Please note the new and awesome prize for commenting along the hop!  You won't want to miss out on this chance!  :)

CAS(E) this Sketch #194

Good morning!!!  I'm up and at 'em early this morning and heading to Kansas for a super fun crafty weekend with some AMAZING ladies!  It is always a great time and the weekend always goes way too fast.  Before I head out, I wanted to make sure to share my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  It's a super fun and easy sketch so, if you haven't joined us, it's a great week to take the plunge!

I hope you like my bright take on this week's sketch!  I started with some rainbow patterned paper and I cut the really cool almost checkerboard pattern using the Hello Beautiful Dies.  Then, I attached it to a black card base so they black peeked through the patterned paper.  Next, I added stamps and a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set.  I went back in using a white gel pen to add a little extra interest to my black design and I connected the 4 little bump designs, from the Super Kids Stamp Set, with a straight line using a copic multi-liner.

It turned out well and will be super easy to mail!  I hope you enjoy my take on the sketch and will join us this week over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  You won't regret it!  Here are the products I used today:

Lil' Inker Designs September Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Jessica's amazing creations before hopping here.  If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

First up, I made this elegant thank you card using Reap A Harvest Stamps and Reap A Harvest Dies.

I started by stamping and die cutting all of the amazing fall foliage in the Reap A Harvest Stamp Set.  These are some AMAZING stamps.  Just look at those acorns!!!  The Reap A Harvest Dies cut like a dream and are so easy to position.  Love it!  Next, it was time to color.  I started to go with your typical fall colors but then, I watched an episode of Peg + Cat with my littlest and the whole thing had a Japanese ink painting style background.  It was awesome looking with the monotone coloring and varying dark and light splotches.  I knew I wanted to do something similar but black seemed too harsh for such lovely images.  So, I went with blue and I LOVE how it turned out.  I added some gold touches here and there on the tips of some leaves and then got to figuring out the rest of the card.  I decided to keep with the monotone and picked a blue base and some blue striped paper to be my background for the focal images.  Next, I added a strip of vellum stamped with a sentiment from Reap A Harvest Stamp Set.  To be perfectly honest, my way of getting to this sentiment look was a bit of a mess.  I stamped first with a navy ink pad and heat set it.  When I layered that with the striped paper, it got lost.  So, I decided to see if I could steady my hands and offset some gold embossing.  Thank goodness it worked out!  I still thought it needed something to really ground the sentiment so I added a strip of gold tape that you use on your fingernails.  It was just the right thickness and gave me just the look I was going for.  With my sentiment in place, I arranged my flora all about.  Here's a closer look (you can see the blue in the sentiment well here):

Next up, I created a fun little birthday card using Super Kids Stamp Set, Super Kids Die Set, the Super Kids Paper Pack, the Wonky Rectangles Die Set, and the previously released Silly Stitched Die Set.

I went a little crazy with the pattern on this card but I just couldn't choose one paper from the Super Kids Paper Pack.  They are all so cute it was too hard to choose so I picked a few that I liked together.  Them I added some stitching using the Silly Stitched Die around the edges of my chevron card base.  Next I cut some cute layers with the Wonky Rectangles Die Set.  I layered these shapes up, hung them off the card front, and then cut off the overage.  Next, I stamped out images from the Super Kids Stamp Set and cut them with the Super Kids Die Set.  I colored my images to coordinate with the papers and layered them with some banners stamped with sentiment from Super Kids.  A little enamel heart finished it all off.  Here's a closer look:

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura gives out a $15 Lil' Inker Designs store credit to a lucky commenter each day of the hop.  It could be you.  I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects.  See you then!
