Lil' Inker Designs April Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Caly's blog amazing creations before hopping here.  If not, make sure you check it out and if you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

My first card for today uses the Best Mom Stamps in unique way as well as the Have A Nice Day Stamp Set and the previously released Unstoppable Stamps.

I know I have already told you how much I love the leaf/petal design in the Best Mom Stamps.  Still, I couldn't resist using it one more time to create a fun background for the Have A Nice Day Stamp Set.  I stamped it repeatedly in yellow to make a cheerful landing spot for Have A Nice Day Stamp Set which I stamped in black and highlighted with turquoise Nuvo drops.  I cut this layer our with a square from the Silly Stitched Squares Dies.  I created my cardbase using white cards stock, black ink, and a stamp from Unstoppable Stamps.  I just can't resist a bit of black.  I added a border to my card base with the large rectangle from the Silly Stitched Die Set.  When I got everything layered, I wanted a little more of the turquoise color so I added some glitter tape.  Here's a closer look:

My next card uses the Spring Wreath Die Set and the Hand Drawn Happiness Set.

This card was super simple!  I started by blotching some purple watercolor on a piece of watercolor paper.  I then cut my first wreath from this paper using the Spring Wreath Die Set.  I used that as a guide for how big to watercolor my circle on my card front using the same purple but washed out a little more.  Once, I had my watercolor circle, I stamped my sentiment from Hand Drawn Happiness in the center.  I added my water colored wreath around the sentiment and then cut another from gold as well as some of the cute flowers from the Spring Wreath Die Set.  I cut my gold wreath up and tucked these "branches" in my first wreath before added the flowers with foam tape.  To complete the card, I added drips of purple watercolor here and there.  Here's a closer peek:

My final card for today also uses Hand Drawn Happiness as well as the fun Shaker Tag Die Set and super cool Cover Up Die:  Dotted Chevrons.

I started this card by creating the background.  I cut the Cover Up Die:  Dotted Chevrons from turquoise card stock and then cut variouse colors of paper to show through the holes of the die (pink, black, white, & gold).  I trimmed this down and layered it on a black card base.  Next, I got to work on my shaker.  I cut the Shaker Tag Die Set in the same pink I used for the background and then added acetate for my window cut with the same Shaker Tag Die Set.  Next, I cut a solid image with no window for the base of my shaker and stamped a sentiment from Hand Drawn Happiness in the center in black.  I outlined the outer edges with foam tape and put in some sequins before added the top layer to the base.  I shook it around for good measure and added it to my card front.  Here you can see it a little better:

May Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release

Today's a super fun Lil' Inker Designs mini release and we have some amazing guests joining us for this fun hop and I can hardly wait to go check out everyone's creations.  I've been lucky enough to spend time with most of the ladies crafty in the most amazing craft house ever.  What a joy it always is to see each and everyone of them and steal just a bit of there mojo...but don't tell them what I'm up to.  Ha ha ha!  You should be stopping here after visiting the amazing Lori Craig.  If you get lost along the way, you can see the full list of participants by visiting the Lil' Inker Blog.

I went a little wild for a mini release and created a few too many cards.  I just couldn't help myself.  I'll start with the new You Will Never Regret Being Kind stamp since you may have seen a glimpse of this card in the banner.

Shockingly, I started my card with the image stamped using You Will Never Regret Being Kind and not by picking patterned paper!  I loved the bold black image but wanted to add color in a different way so I broke out my standby, the Really Rosemaling Stamp Set.  I stamped various images from the set if bright colors around my sentiment.  After that, I set about deciding how I was going to create a card front.  I thought about just leaving it on white but my love of pattern got the better of me.  I paired the green striped paper with a black and orange (the later two were cut using Dual Stitched Rectangles to give it that awesome stitched edge.  Here's a closer look:

Next I created two cards using Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today but I'll share one with you today and save the other for tomorrow!

This card was a labor of love!  I started by stamping the Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today in Versamark on navy paper.  Then I added my turquoise embossing powder and used a paint brush to brush way the areas that I wanted a color other than turquoise.  I heat that layer and then added white and brushed off what would then be orange.  It took awhile to complete and my first attempt went into the trash by I'm really happy with how it all turned out in the end.  I cut my finished embossed paper with Silly Stitched Squares Dies and added it to a polka-dot card front with some foam tape.  Here's a closer look:

Finally, I made this card using the Stitched Cloud Cover Up and the Angel Pets Stamps and Dies.

I love the Stitched Cloud Cover Up.  I swear it is just perfect!  I know you are going to love it too.  I added this amazing background to this awesome ombre paper before layering my various clouds cut using the Border Builders Die Set.  I added a sun using the Sunshine Die behind the clouds before adding this sweet kitty that I stamped with Angel Pets Stamps and cut with the Angel Pets Dies.  I stamped a sentiment from Angel Pets Stamps at the bottom and added a little sparkle to this angel's wings.  Here's a closer look:

I have another card using this combo also and I'll share it tomorrow as well.  I hope you can handle the wait!  I know one way to make the wait easier!  Continue on the hop with Jill Hawkins!  You won't want to miss what she comes up with.  She's a hoot.  Don't forget to be commenting because Laura is giving away products from this mini release to 3 lucky winners!  You can read more about it on the Lil' Inker Blog.  It could totally be you!  Have fun hoping and here's what I used today:

Lil' Inker Designs April Release Day #1

Hi, you guys!  It's day one of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop and I'm super excited to share all the new products with you!  I think you are really going to enjoy this release and all the new inspiration from our team.  It's packed with fun, as always and, lucky for you, all the new products are available right now at the Lil' Inker Store!  We have an amazing blog hop for you today so, hopefully, you are coming from Amy's blog and if not, you won't want to miss her amazing creations or anyone's for that matter!  So make sure you didn't miss anyone and start at the Lil' Inker Blog.  Now for the fun!

You are going to love the little owls in the new Hootie Patootie Stamps and the coordinating Hootie Patootie Dies.  They are totally adorable and paired with the new Silly Stitched Squares Dies, it's pa match made in heaven!

I started this card by stamping my owls from Hootie Patootie Stamps and coloring them with copics. I wanted my sweet owls to look like they were peeking out of a tree so I went with some layering to get that look.  I started with an olive card base and added some stitching using the Silly Stitched Die Set because I knew I wanted the focal layer to be cut using the new Silly Stitched Squares Dies.  I used kraft cardstock for this layer and added a circle of stitching using Silly Stitched Die Set and I trimmed out the center to allow my owls to peek through.  Next, I layered three navy cuts of Thanks Word Die and a sentiment from Hootie Patootie Stamps.  A little enamel heart added just the right finishing touch.  Here's another peek:

Next up, I just couldn't resist playing with the Hootie Patootie Stamps and the coordinating Hootie Patootie Dies again!  I paired them with the tag from the new Silly Stitched Squares Dies, and made a quick little get well tag for someone who's feeling under weather.

I just love this little guy with his umbrella!  I cut my tag from kraft paper using Silly Stitched Squares Dies and stamped it with raindrops from Hootie Patootie Stamps.  Next, I stamped and cut my owl using Hootie Patootie Dies and then colored him in with some copics.  I stamped a sentiment from Hootie Patootie Stamps on vellum and wrapped it around the tag before adding my owl with a bit of foam tape.  Here's a closer look:

Please note the new and awesome prize for commenting along the hop!  You won't want to miss out on this chance!  :)
