May Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release

Today's a super fun Lil' Inker Designs mini release and we have some amazing guests joining us for this fun hop and I can hardly wait to go check out everyone's creations.  I've been lucky enough to spend time with most of the ladies crafty in the most amazing craft house ever.  What a joy it always is to see each and everyone of them and steal just a bit of there mojo...but don't tell them what I'm up to.  Ha ha ha!  You should be stopping here after visiting the amazing Lori Craig.  If you get lost along the way, you can see the full list of participants by visiting the Lil' Inker Blog.

I went a little wild for a mini release and created a few too many cards.  I just couldn't help myself.  I'll start with the new You Will Never Regret Being Kind stamp since you may have seen a glimpse of this card in the banner.

Shockingly, I started my card with the image stamped using You Will Never Regret Being Kind and not by picking patterned paper!  I loved the bold black image but wanted to add color in a different way so I broke out my standby, the Really Rosemaling Stamp Set.  I stamped various images from the set if bright colors around my sentiment.  After that, I set about deciding how I was going to create a card front.  I thought about just leaving it on white but my love of pattern got the better of me.  I paired the green striped paper with a black and orange (the later two were cut using Dual Stitched Rectangles to give it that awesome stitched edge.  Here's a closer look:

Next I created two cards using Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today but I'll share one with you today and save the other for tomorrow!

This card was a labor of love!  I started by stamping the Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today in Versamark on navy paper.  Then I added my turquoise embossing powder and used a paint brush to brush way the areas that I wanted a color other than turquoise.  I heat that layer and then added white and brushed off what would then be orange.  It took awhile to complete and my first attempt went into the trash by I'm really happy with how it all turned out in the end.  I cut my finished embossed paper with Silly Stitched Squares Dies and added it to a polka-dot card front with some foam tape.  Here's a closer look:

Finally, I made this card using the Stitched Cloud Cover Up and the Angel Pets Stamps and Dies.

I love the Stitched Cloud Cover Up.  I swear it is just perfect!  I know you are going to love it too.  I added this amazing background to this awesome ombre paper before layering my various clouds cut using the Border Builders Die Set.  I added a sun using the Sunshine Die behind the clouds before adding this sweet kitty that I stamped with Angel Pets Stamps and cut with the Angel Pets Dies.  I stamped a sentiment from Angel Pets Stamps at the bottom and added a little sparkle to this angel's wings.  Here's a closer look:

I have another card using this combo also and I'll share it tomorrow as well.  I hope you can handle the wait!  I know one way to make the wait easier!  Continue on the hop with Jill Hawkins!  You won't want to miss what she comes up with.  She's a hoot.  Don't forget to be commenting because Laura is giving away products from this mini release to 3 lucky winners!  You can read more about it on the Lil' Inker Blog.  It could totally be you!  Have fun hoping and here's what I used today:

Lil' Inker Designs January Release Blog Hop Day 2!

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  You should have come here from the amazing Heather's blog.  Hopefully, you can still see after she blinded you with her awesomeness!  If you didn't, don't miss out on anything and make sure you start at the beginning of the hop by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

First up, I made a cute card using the new Love You Greeting Die and Love You Paper Pack.

I started this card by cutting my card front with the largest Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles to match the stitching on the window I was about to create with the Love You Greeting Die.  I lined up the Love You Greeting Die to create a window in the center of my card front and then put this amazing paper from the Love You Paper Pack peeking through the window.  Next, I stamped this fun design around my window using the Really Rosemaling Stamps.  After stamping the colors onto my kraft card front, I felt it needed just a little something to brighten it up.  So, I used my white gel pen to fill in some flower centers and add some dots here and there.  I was amazed at how much that changed the look of this card.  I'm going to do more cards like this, I know it!

To help brighten up this winter a bit, my next card uses the newly re-released Sunshine Sentiments Stamps along with some previously released items.

I really wanted to create or sort of mod feeling scene on this card so I started by cutting three different colors (cream, teal, turquoise) of Dual Dotted Circles.  When I had my circles cut.  I lined them up and cut the teal and turquoise circles using the Border Builders die set to create a wave look.  Next I cut two shades of yellow using the Sunshine Die - Large.  I did the same with the sun as I did with the circles to make my two toned sun.  I finished it off with a simple "Hello" from the new improved Sunshine Sentiments Stamps.  Do you think I got the look I was going for?  I was pretty happy with it!

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura gives out a $15 Lil' Inker Designs store credit to a lucky commenter each day of the hop.  It could be you.  I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects.  See you then!

Lil' Inker Designs April Release Day 3!

Well, it's the last day of our new release hop at Lil' Inker Designs and I'm super excited to show off these last few products but before we get into all that I have to make sure you are coming here after visiting Laura.  If not, head on over to the the Lil' Inker Blog so you don't miss a a stop on the hop.  You won't want to miss a thing!  While you are visiting the Lil' Inker Blog, make sure you go check out the Lil' Inker Store where all of the January release goodies, and a whole lot more, are ready and waiting for you to put in your cart.  Now it's time to show off these fantastic products!  I've packed in tons of products into this last day and I hope you like them.

These elephants are FABULOUS!  They have such personality and are so playful.  That's why they are the perfect elephant set.  What can't they do?  Congrats, sure!  Birthday, of course.  Baby, yup.  You'll want to invite these guys to every celebration possible.  I stamped the adorable Party Pachyderms Stamps with ombre ink pads and added the sweet little birds to the party in two different shades of turquoise.  Then I added my sentiment to the bottom of the card along with some shiny music note stickers and enamel dots.  My card looked a little heavy in the bottom right hand corner so I broke out my Heart Banners Die Set and cut them out of different color vellum to layer in the upper corner and balance out the card.

My final project of the day uses several products and includes a bunch of photos.  Bear with me and I hope you like it!

I started my project on the outside with a Glassine Mini Envelope tied with twine and adorned with a little label I made using Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched SquaresWonky Squares Dies, Send Pretty Greetings Stamps, and a sentiment from Party Pachyderms Stamps.  I stamped my images onto my Wonky Square and added some color and glossy accents.  I used a little foam tape to pop that up and hold my twine in place on the Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Square.  I then tied my twine around my Glassine Mini Envelope.  Are you ready to see what's inside the envelope?

This is the adorable Petal Card Die.  How cute is this?  It's like a little flower just waiting to pop with fun!  The stitching makes it even cuter and I can't wait to add it to a card front to add a little surprise inside.  So much fun.  I had a little more fun with my message inside.

For the inside, I cut a Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Square from pattern paper and decorated it with one of my favorite stamps sets Really Rosemaling.  The soft colors were perfect for a baby card and I found just the right sentiment in the Send Pretty Greetings Stamps.  These sentiments are SO cute.  I love the little touches of whimsy and different font styles.  It's really a great sentiment set for prettying up a card, envelope, tag, etc.  LOVE!   I added a little glossy accents to the hearts to tie it in with the outer envelope.  I can see myself playing with this often.
