Lil' Inker Designs and National Coffee Day!

Happy National Coffee Day!  This could possibly be my new favorite holiday because I'm a coffee addict.  Hot, iced, blended...you name it, I like it!  In fact, I'm sitting here drinking my very first coffee of the morning.  Coffee being what it is to so many of us, a fun bloghop took shape each and every year and you can join in the fun over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!  When it started way back when, I couldn't resist being part of it.  How could I pass up celebrating coffee?  Lucky for me, I am on the design team for a company with a TON of amazing coffee themed products.  So, the team at Lil' Inker Designs is joining in on the fun again this year.  Here's my addition to the hop:

I went pretty simple with my card because I wanted the coffee to be the star!  I made a chalkboard panel that I cut using a Stitched Mats:  Rounded Rectangle Dies and layered it on a plaid background also cut with Stitched Mats:  Rounded Rectangle Dies.  To the chalkboard, I added a white cut with my mug and steam from Coffee Talk 2 Die Set.  I just love this mug.  It is the perfect size and is so fun for adding sentiments to like this one from Coffee Talk 2 Stamps.  I finished it off with an enamel heart.  Here's a closer look:

Make sure you check out the rest of the team's cards and don't forget about the giveaway!  You can read more about it on Laura's blog here.

I hope you enjoyed my card and will come join us on the Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  I can hardly wait to get hopping and see all the amazing creations!  See you on the hop!  Here's what I used for my card:

Lil' Inker Designs September Release Day #2

My first card for you today uses the new Monsters Ink Stamps and Monsters Ink Dies as well as the previously released Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares and Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.

I wanted to create some sneaky monsters with this card so I cut a window out of my card front using the Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares.  I added a fun star paper to the window before coloring my Monsters Ink Stamps and cutting them out with Monsters Ink Dies.  I arranged my monsters in the window and popped them up a little with some foam tape.  My sentiment strip was created with the Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.  I trimmed it down using an edge of the same die to create the perfect little tab for my sentiment from Monsters Ink Stamps.  Here's a closer look:

My final card for today uses the Boo Balloons Stamps along with the coordinating Balloons Dies which have been around for awhile.  I love that these coordinate because the Balloons Dies is one of my favorites.  I also use the new Stitched Mini Chevron Border Die and Stitched Bats.

I started this card by inking up my sky with some fun purple and then inking up a separate piece for my purple balloons.  Next I cut my balloons from several colors using the Balloons Dies before stamping them with the new Boo Balloons Stamps.  I set those aside while I built my card front.  I layered a strip of my inked purple at an angle on the black card base.  Next, I added some purple glitter tape and finished off the frame look with a Stitched Mini Chevron Border Die on the top and bottom of the sky.  Then I added my fun balloons using the Boo Balloons Stamps to add some strings and a sentiment.  I finished it all of with a couple glittery Stitched Bats.  Here's a closer look:

Lil' Inker Designs October Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Amy's amazing creations before hopping here.  If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

My first card uses the amazingly gorgeous Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow and the totally cool Christmas Words Tree Die.

I had loads of fun with this card.  I started by cutting the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow from stone cardstock.  I then positioned the Christmas Words Tree Die on my cover up die cut and ran that through the cutter to create a clear spot in the background for the Christmas Words Tree Die.  I was afraid that leaving all the lines behind might make things too busy.  Next, I added my Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow to a darker grey card base.  I cut my word tree from the same stone cardstock and then again from green, red, and turquoise.  I cut the individual colors from the cuts and layered them on my stone cut to create a colorful tree.  Then, I added this back into the cleared spot in my background.  I finished it off with a glitter star tree topper.  Here's a closer look:

My next card uses the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow and the Season's Greetings Stamps.

For this card, I used the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow in a different way.  I trimmed a portion of the background to use as a border across the birch card front.  Next, I stamped and colored one of the adorable animals inside the frame from the Season's Greetings Stamps.  I cut this image out and added it to my card front with foam tape.  I added some cork asterisks for a fun extra touch and my card was finished.  Super cute and here's another look:

My final card for you today uses the Joy to the World Stamps.

This card could not have been easier!  I used a piece of water color paper and painted it with an earth like wash.  Then I stamped the awesome Joy to the World Stamps in the center along with two of the flourishes.  I cut this out with Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles before layering it on a black card base also cut with Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.  Again, super easy!  Here's a closer look:
