Happy CAS(E) this Sketch day!! I had a ton of fun and really got out of my Christmas comfort zone with this one. I decided to go a little geometric and modern. I hope you like it!
I started this card by masking off a triangle shape and using Catherine Pooler's Grass Skirt ink to blend into a fun shape. Before removing my mask, I stamped some snowflakes from and older Concord & 9th set called Mittens and Mugs using Midnight ink. Next, I stamped the Joy from Concord & 9th's Joy stamp set using Rockin' Red ink and Midnight ink for the thin line. Next, I added some stripes of card stock to the top and bottom of my sentiment and embossed "to the world" in white. Here's a closer look:
I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope you'll check out this week's sketch and join us at CAS(E) this Sketch! See you there!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release Day #2
It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today! I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store. Hopefully, you checked out all of Amy's amazing creations before hopping here. If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog. For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!
My first card uses the amazingly gorgeous Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow and the totally cool Christmas Words Tree Die.
I had loads of fun with this card. I started by cutting the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow from stone cardstock. I then positioned the Christmas Words Tree Die on my cover up die cut and ran that through the cutter to create a clear spot in the background for the Christmas Words Tree Die. I was afraid that leaving all the lines behind might make things too busy. Next, I added my Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow to a darker grey card base. I cut my word tree from the same stone cardstock and then again from green, red, and turquoise. I cut the individual colors from the cuts and layered them on my stone cut to create a colorful tree. Then, I added this back into the cleared spot in my background. I finished it off with a glitter star tree topper. Here's a closer look:
My next card uses the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow and the Season's Greetings Stamps.
For this card, I used the Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow in a different way. I trimmed a portion of the background to use as a border across the birch card front. Next, I stamped and colored one of the adorable animals inside the frame from the Season's Greetings Stamps. I cut this image out and added it to my card front with foam tape. I added some cork asterisks for a fun extra touch and my card was finished. Super cute and here's another look:
My final card for you today uses the Joy to the World Stamps.
This card could not have been easier! I used a piece of water color paper and painted it with an earth like wash. Then I stamped the awesome Joy to the World Stamps in the center along with two of the flourishes. I cut this out with Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles before layering it on a black card base also cut with Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles. Again, super easy! Here's a closer look:
