My first card uses the new Thankful Thoughts Stamps, Thankful Thoughts Dies and Thankful Word Die.

I had tons of fun with this card and the gorgeous Thankful products this month.  I started by cutting this fun square grapevine wreath from the Thankful Thoughts Dies out of brown cardstock.  I stamped some flowers from the Thankful Thoughts Stamps and then cut them, the banner, and some leaves out of colored card stock.  I got them all layered but I felt like they needed a little extra dimension so before attaching them I used my copic markers to shade here and there making all the elements really pop and almost look water colored.  Whoa!  I layered my completed wreath on some white wood grain paper, layered on some pink, and finally a striped paper.  To finish off my sentiment I cut my final piece of this card using the Thankful Word Die from black card stock.  I layered several cuts to give it a little bump up.  Here's another peek:

Sticking with the stripes, I decided to share this card that I created using A Haunting We Will Go Stamps and A Haunting We Will Go Dies.

I created the background of this card by spelling out "candy" in candy corn colors using the Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps.  I cut that using Dual Stitched Rectangle and layered id with some orange and black onto another piece of striped black and white paper cut with a Dual Stitched Rectangle.  I created a fun stripe for my sentiment using some more layers, black cut using the Stitched Scallop Border Die and then some striped paper layered on that with a touch of stitching at the top.  I attached my sentiment stamped vellum created using A Haunting We Will Go Stamps to this scalloped layer.  I decided to add some of the candies from the A Haunting We Will Go Stamps and to make it stand out a bit, I colored some areas black.  Finally, I colored and cut my little witchy mouse using the A Haunting We Will Go Dies and then attached her to the front.  A sparkling enamel star finishes off the mouses hat!  Here's a closer look:

Grad Time!

It's that time of year again and I'm busy working on graduation cards.  I can tell we are getting older because friends and family now have kids graduating and I know it won't be long until I'm in that boat.  Doesn't seem possible!  The card I'm sharing today is for a very special girl who is going to make a name for herself no matter where she goes or what she does.  A girl like that, deserves a card as fun and unique as she is.  So, I created this fun card and I hope it will make her smile.

I knew I wanted to use various fonts for my sentiment and I just loved these yellow chipboard letters so I picked my coloring scheme based on them.  Yellow just looks so nice with black...you can't argue with a bee afterall.  I grabbed a fun black and white speckled paper for my card base and stamped some graduation caps and "2017" from Grad Class Stamps randomly on a yellow faceted paper to create a a border across my card front.  I cut a white piece of card stock using Dual Stitched Rectangles to serve as my base for the sentiment.  I created my sentiment using the chipboard letters, letter stickers, and two stamp sets:  Sassy Script Stamps and Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps.  I backed this layer with some black card stock to make it pop.  After all was said and done, I thought the chipboard letters needed a little black so I drew a line separating the solid portion from the dotted portion.  I topped off the the "G" with a grad cap from Grad Class Stamps.  Here's another look:

I hope you liked my card today and I hope you have some awesome grads that you are creating for.  It's always so fun to create something with a specific person in mind.  It always makes me smile.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.

Lil' Inker Designs April Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Amy's amazing creations before hopping here.  If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

My first card uses the gorgeous new Wreath of Roses Stamps and the Wreath of Roses Die.

I just love black and white with bright bright colors so I couldn't wait to combine the two on this card.  I started by creating a striped card base using black cardstock cut with Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangle.  I stamped and cut my amazing focal point using the Wreath of Roses Stamps and the Wreath of Roses Die.  These are just too gorgeous for words.  I colored the flowers in bright yellow, pink, and oranges with bright green leaves to really pop off the black and white.  Next, I stamped my sentiment from Wreath of Roses Stamps on vellum and added it to the center to the center of my wreath.  Here's a closer look:

Next up, I used the incredible new Cover Up Die, Stitched Quatrefoil Die....it's SO amazing!  I added some gorgeous flowers from our new floral set, Best Blooms Stamps and Best Blooms Dies to really set off that background.

I went in the opposite direction with this card and used softer tones.  I started with a blush cardstock and used the Stitched Quatrefoil Die to give it the most amazing texture.  This pattern is too cool and can take a card in so many directions.  When I first saw it, I thought Moroccan but when I used it on this card, it brought out some floral elements and I loved that!  I decided to show off the Mom Word Die and cut three to layer with some of my florals stamped with Best Blooms Stamps and cut with Best Blooms Dies I loved having navy as the most bold color in this card.  It made the softer colors shine.  I layered all my flowers around my sentiment and added a few sequins and pearls for a little shine.  Here's a closer look:

Just look at that texture!  Love it!

My last card is one that I did on a total whim and I LOVE the way it turned out.  It's drastically different from the first two cards I've shown today but still goes with the mother theme.  I used this awesome new alphabet set called Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps and cut some of my letters with the coordinating Pretty Painted Alphabet Dies.

I saw a cute print at Hobby Lobby that said "Your Love Will Always Be My Anchor" and it immediately clicked with me and seemed like a perfect sentiment for a Mother's Day card.  I got home and went to work.  I knew the awesome new Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps would be the perfect lettering for this bold of a sentiment.  I also knew I would have to pair down the words to make them fit on the card.  I grabbed the Vintage Ink Stamps because the anchor was just too perfect for this idea and I loved the "Mom" sentiment.  I placed my anchor, colored it in and started arranging my letters around the anchor.  I decided to make "Love" pop by making it red and cutting it with the Pretty Painted Alphabet Dies to raise off the card with foam tape.  I created the banner from some vellum and stamped it with the "Mom" sentiment and wrapped it around the anchor.  Finally, I added elements from the Vintage Ink Stamps to finish the card off.  Here's another look:

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura is giving away the ENTIRE RELEASE to one lucky commenter.  It could be you.  I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects.  See you then!
