CTS #326

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I have an absolute CRAZY day! Isn't it supposed to be calm and relaxing during the summer? Hopefully, this will be my crazy day and then I'll get some down time. I am looking forward to our lunch plans, however. Our church does a free lunch program for the community and members volunteer to make and serve lunch on particular days. Today, will be our first day serving and I can't wait! It also happens to be the last night of VBS which makes this an extra fun packed day. To add to that fun, I got to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  Here's what I created:

I used some new products from Frantic Stampers June release for this card and if you love coffee and chocolate, you should be sure to check it out. I started with some kraft paper to make this fun panel with the stitched swirls. It reminded me of the steam from a cup of coffee. I layered that on a piece of a patterned paper from a VERY old pack of papers from Studio Calico called Classic Calico. Luckily, I found a link to some for you below. It is a great neutral pack and I'm always happy to have it on hand. Next, I got to work cutting and water coloring my Irish coffee. I decided I needed a sentiment strip so I stamped one with the Coffee stamp set. I finished up by layering it all on. I wasn't sure I really captured the sketch with this one but I liked to card so, I'm going with it. Ha ha! Here's a closer look:
