CTS #261

Good morning!!  It's a special morning in this house because my youngest is turning 8 today.  Wow, I can't even believe he is growing up so fast.  We have a fun and busy day ahead of us starting with dropping his brother off at school and going to get donuts.  I know, it's a rough life.  ;)  He's excited for the snow to continue to melt because he got a dune buggy for his birthday and he's dying to get out and ride it.  I'm with him on the snow melting thing.  I can't wait for spring to be here!  I have a garden to get in the ground and I just want to get out and walk with the boys again or like my mother-in-law used to say, blow the dust off our britches.  Hurry up spring!!  Ha ha!

Today's sketch is super fun and I'm sorry the blog has been so quiet.  It's the time of year where farmers and farmers' wives are getting busy.  There is a ton to be done to plan for the crops and I've been busy helping create all the crop plans for the farms that my husband, father-in-law, and friend all manage.  So...busy busy!  I NEED to get down to the craft room soon as my crafty work is piling up.  At least that is always fun work.  Speaking of fun, here's my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  You won't want to miss this week's sketch.  It's a great blast from the past.

Speaking of blasts from the past, the stamp set I used for this card is one I bought forever ago and I still adore it!  You know a set is great when you can make an entire card only from the stamps in the set.  This card is super simple with a white card base and elements from Simon Says Stamps' Sending and Wishing Stamp Set.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks to ensure a nice bold look for this simple card.  I just love the way the banner is cut to fit the letters.  It's is such a fun stamp set.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking in with me today!  Hopefully, I'll be back on here before the next sketch.  Ha ha!  See you over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

  2. This is so pretty!! I love the leading lines on this card and how you flipped the sketch!! I always wanted to own a farm but have other people run it!! So much of the farm land around me has been sold for development and it always makes me so sad. Hope you have time to craft soon!
