Hi, you guys!! I've been checking out some fun challenges out there in crafty land hoping to reboot my mojo a bit. I've been making cards but I've felt sort of stuck. So, I'm using this feeling as a reason to get out there in blog land and find some more fun!
Today, I played along with the challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9. I'm not sure what took me so long to find this awesome challenge but, luckily, I found the blog today so I had time to create and get my card in before the deadline. Talk about cutting it close. I'm a big fan of Concord and 9th and I LOVE embossing so this challenge was right up my alley!
I decided to have some fun with an older Concord & 9th set, Sweet & Cool, because it just felt SO summery! I embossed the pink and while it was still melty, I added more embossing powder, melted that, and added more until I had a thick layer of embossing powder. I warmed it up again and stamped the popsicle lines in. I loved how it gave a little extra dimension. I layered my treat on some fun heart paper and then created my sentiment. I hope you like it! Here's a closer look:
This was a super fun way to start digging my way out of a rut and I think I'll be playing along with the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog more often. It was totally fun!
Fun and super-cute, Chrissy! Love the texture of the popsicle! Hideko
