Popcorn!

Have you ever started a card with a very simple idea and before you knew it, the card totally took on a life of it's own?  I started this card for Retro Sketch #33 with a very simple idea...make a popcorn box top with popcorn popping out.  Then I thought it needed something a little more.  Boy, was that a mistake!  I went into the "fluff" trance and my card ended up with too much fluff.  I still like the basic idea of the card but I went WAY too far with my additions.  I totally could have used Tim Gunn telling me to edit myself.  Don't get me wrong, I still like the idea of the card but the execution didn't live up to my vision.  Oh well!  :)  Here's the sketch that was my inspiration:

Are you ready for it?  Here's the craziness that is my card...EEK!

Stamps:  Reel Time (The Alley Way Stamps)
Inks:  Tuxedo Black (Momento), Cherry (Amuse Studio)
Dies & Cuts:  Simple Circles Border (PTI), Ticket Notch Corner Punch (Tonic)
Paper:  Pure Poppy (PTI), Solar White (Neenah)
Misc:  Foam Tape (Scotch), Black Pen (Uniball Signo), Random Markers
