CTS #308

Good morning!  It's another fun and chilly week here in Iowa.  I don't know about you but I am really ready for winter to be over.  Luckily, I've had some fun inspiration from CAS(E) this Sketch to keep be going all winter long.  This week is a retro sketch and I always have a great time with these.  It is so fun to see the difference between the card I made before and now.  I'm always amazed at how differently I the whole team interprets sketches.  SO fun!  Well, here's my take on this week's sketch:

I had a ton of fun with this card because I absolutely love the Lil' Inker Designs Scooter Balloons set.  It is SO fun and the sentiments are just perfect.  I started by stamping and coloring my scooter and cutting it out to layer on one of Lil' Inker Designs Wonky Square dies cut in black.  Next, I found this super fun scooter paper in an older 6x6 paper pack that isn't out there anymore but I linked to another fun pack that has some cool scooter paper that would be equally as cute.  I added my wonky square to my card base with some foam squares for dimension and then added some enamel hearts for a little extra fun.  I felt like the card needed a little extra shine so I used some Glossy Accents on the balloons and scooter lights.  Super cute and simple.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card and I hope we'll see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!

Hi, you guys!  It's day one of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop and I'm super excited to share all the new products with you!  I think you are really going to enjoy this release and all the new inspiration from our team.  It's packed with fun, as always and, lucky for you, all the new products are available right now at the Lil' Inker Store!  We have an amazing blog hop for you today so, hopefully, you are coming from Caly's blog and if not, you won't want to miss her amazing creations!  Make sure you didn't miss anyone and start at the Lil' Inker Blog.  Now for the fun!

My card for you today uses the new Quilted Stitched So Stylish Die, Scooter Balloons Stamps, Scooter Balloons Dies, and the previously released Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles and Stitched Chevron Border Die.

I had a ton of fun creating this card and the Scooter Balloons Stamps are probably one of my favorite designs from any company lately.  I love how you can choose the cute little balloon sentiment you like and it is just too stinkin' cute!  So, I chose the Celebrate balloon bundle and stampes, colored, and cut out my scooter with the Scooter Balloons Dies.  I wanted to go with a light coloring so that it would look different against the bolder background of the card which I created by adding texture to a black cardbase using the amazing Quilted Stitched So Stylish Die.  Laura never ceases to amazing me with the cool textures and patterns she puts out.  This one reminds me of fireworks but very even and geometric ones which totally makes my organized mind happy.  I created a border on my card with a strip of pink star paper cut with a Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles die.  I added a portion of the Stitched Chevron Border Die cut in green paper just to being in the limey elements of my scooter coloring.  I love that die for adding just an extra touch of color and pattern as well as a new layer to this card.  I finished the whole thing off with a banner I created and stamped with a sentiment from Scooter Balloons Stamps on white and another banner below with some patterned vellum.  Here's a closer look:

I'm so glad you stopped by today.  Thanks for checking me out and don't forget about our giveaway!
