CTS #337 and Lil' Inker Designs Sale!

Good morning and happy Thursday! I hope you are ready for a fun sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week. I think you'll really enjoy it and the design team created some amazing cards with the inspiration!

We've had a busy week getting ready for harvest, running to cross country meets, orthodontist appt, etc, etc, etc. Life is just busy with kids, isn't it? I've also been gearing up to help celebrate the Lil' Inker Designs' birthday! You will certainly want to check out the sale Laura is throwing in celebration.

I do hope you'll jump in and join us for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge this week and check out the sale.  Here's what I did with the sketch and my Lil' Inker Designs products:

I started my card with this fun polkadot paper as a card base and then cut out and added texture to the the two coolest pumpkins ever using the Seen On Halloween Dies.  Did you notice that you can cut pumkins and then add stitching using these dies?  Absolutely the cutest little detail EVER!  I wanted my front pumpkin to have a little extra personality so I used the Pumpkin Faces Die Set to give him a super happy face.  Next, I stamped the sentiment I created with the Boo & Faces 2 set on a piece of brown stripe paper which I then layered on some black glitter paper and attached to the card.  I thought the little pumpkins needed a little extra fun so I added some banners that I cut with the Sentiment Flag Original Die and stapled before attaching them to my pumpkin.  Then I added a little bling to balance everything out.

I started by cutting my favorite tag of all my tag dies, Anytime Tags 2, from some wine colored cardstock.  Next, I grabbed some gray cardstock and cut it with the Perfectly Plaid die and cut out a portion using the same Anytime Tags 2 to attach to my tag.  I wanted to make a more masculine card so I pulled out my  Rustic Christmas stamps and got to stamping and coloring before cutting them with Rustic Christmas dies.  I layered my trees and adorable hatted bear on my tag before adding a sentiment with pearlized blue cardstock cut with the Merry Christmas Word Die.  I finished the card off with some snowflakes and sequins.  Here's a close up:

World Card Making Day

Happy World Cardmaking Day, everyone!  I hope you all have some time to head to your crafty spaces and make some amazing creations.  Lil' Inker Designs is having a great sale today in honor of all the cardmakers out there and I hope you'll check it out.  You'll enjoy 10% off your order of anything in the Cover Up Dies or Quilted Stitched Dies categories including this brand new die we are releasing today called Diagonal Plaid!  It's an awesome sale and an awesome new product all in celebration of an awesome day...AWESOME!  ;)  Do you want to see what this new die can do?  Here's what I created:

I used some wood grain paper to create this tone on tone background using the new Diagonal Plaid.  I just love having this die along with Perfectly Plaid.  So many fun ways to use them on their own or combined.  Just make two cuts and flip one and you get a totally different look!  I stuck with just one cut since I was afraid any more would look too busy with the wood grain.  I added a strip of vellum along the middle following one of the lines of the Diagonal Plaid die.  To this, I added a sentiment from Festive Florals Stamps and a strip of metallic green paper.  Then, I got to work arranging the Festive Florals Stamps that I water colored and cut with Festive Florals Dies along the bottom corner of my card.  I added some sequins and enamel dots to finish the card and I'm super happy to add it to my Christmas card stash.  Here's a closer look:

Man, that was a TON of info so I won't make this much longer but I wanted to share with you a card I made just for this occasion!  

  

I started by creating a super fun background using our new set, Spiffy Spots.  Then I masked some cats from the Cat Treats Stamps to make it look like they were taking one super fun selfie.  I colored them in tones that worked with my busy background and then added them to a frame created with the Instant Camera Die.  I added some vellum behind the cats to obscure the background a little and then added some sticker letters to create a sentiment.  I added touches of glossy accents here and there that you can see better in the close up:

I used some Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers to create the watercolor stripes on my background.  They were super easy to use and I LOVE how bold the color is.  I used a water color pen to add some splatter and react with the markers.  So fun!  Next, I stamped and colored my bunny and carrot from the Rustic Spring Stamps.  Next, I used the Rustic Spring Dies to cut my images and placed the carrot in my bunny's hand.  I added the image to my background with some foam tape before using the Awesome Word Die to cut a portion of my sentiment.  I cut it several times and layered the cuts to give it dimension and finally stamped the remainder of my sentiment using Hello, Awesome Stamp Set.  Here's a closer look:

Happy New Year - Lil' Inker Designs Sale

Good morning and happy New Year!!  I hope you guys all had a wonderful celebration and are diving into 2018 with excitement.  I had a little time to craft yesterday and couldn't wait to share one of my creations with you today.  Turns out, Laura decided to spring an awesome Lil' Inker Designs sale on us too making this the perfect time to share my card with you. 

I must have stamped a million Blossoms Banners and colored the day away.  I had a ton of fun coming up with different color combos and the one I used here turned out to be my favorite.  I then cut my banner out with the Blossoms Banners Dies.  No what to do with these awesome banners?  I wanted to keep whatever I was going to layer these onto simple so I grabbed my new favorite way to add a little design and color to a cardbase, the Modern Mandala Stamps.  I stamped them in a chocolate brown masking as I went to create a fun grouping in the corner of my white card base.  I added my banner with some foam tape for dimension and the card was done.  Here's a close up:

Black Friday Sale At Lil' Inker Designs

Happy Black Friday everyone!!  I hope you get all the amazing deals you are after today or if you are just relaxing at home, like I am, I hope it's the most relaxing day ever.  I wanted to make sure to hop on here today to share some info about the Black Friday sale on the Lil' Inker Store.  I have a couple of cards to share with you today in honor of this awesome sale and I hope you enjoy them!

My first card uses the new Unstoppable Stamps.  I created a fun rainbow background and when it was done, it reminded me of an animal print so I decided to use one of my favorite party animals, an elephant from Party Pachyderms.  I used the Party Pachyderms Die Set to cut him out and fussy cut a balloon to go in his trunk.  I created a border with the Happy Birthday Border Die and added some patterned paper to break up the black.  Here's a closer look:

I also created a card using some more of my favorite older products that will be on sale!  I just love how elegant this card turned out.

I started with this awesome cardstock color and the amazing Stitched Quatrefoil Die.  I love LOVE the pattern this leaves behind!  Next, I colored an adorable birthday banner from Blossoms Banners Stamps and cut it with the Blossoms Banners Dies.  I was going to simply layer it on the card but them I decided to go with some gray stripes first and I love the finished look.  Here's a closer one:
