My Take on a Freshly Made Sketch

Hi you guys! I've been busy busy busy and it was SO nice today to get a chance to make a card for a challenge. I have always loved looking at all the amazing inspiration over at Freshly Made Sketches and since I needed a card today, I decided I would finally get to play along with someone else's sketch challenge. It feels SO good!

My card today is for an awesome gentleman that took time out of his weekend to meet with my eldest and sign off on his application for a student pilot license. It was so nice of him to meet with us and answer questions and just enjoy some time discussing something my son loves with someone doing exactly that. It was awesome. So, here's my take on this week's Freshly Made Sketch:

I had some fun with stenciling in the background and then layered on a die cut Thanks and a strip of blue card stock. Finally, I broke out a cute little paper airplane set from Lawn Fawn and stamped it on. It was super simple but I think it is just right for its purpose. Here's a closer look and the sketch that inspired my card:

Thanks so much for checking out my take on the sketch and I am SO excited to go look at what everyone else created. What fun it is to play along! Woo hoo! I hope you all have an awesome week.
