Lil' Inker Designs February Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Amy's blog amazing creations before hopping here.  If not, make sure you check it out and if you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

I'm a sucker for cute animals and I just love the new Dog Hugs Stamps and Dog Hugs Dies.  I paired these adorable dogs with a sentiment from Sassy Pants Stamps for this card.

I started by stamping the cute pups from Dog Hugs Stamps on some white card stock and cutting them out with the Dog Hugs Dies.  I colored bits and pieces of to dogs and added them to this fun heart paper.  Next, I added foam to some of the cut paws to make them pop up to hold the little gifts that the stamp and die set also include.  These are SO fun and make this set a blast to work with.  I struggled a little with where I wanted my sentiment and then I got the idea to use a Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangle at the bottom of the image.  I cut a black rectangle and embossed a sentiment from Sassy Pants Stamps on the strip.  It is just the right sentiment for my silly card.  I added the black strip to my card base first and then added the dogs that were already attached to the heart paper.  I had to cut the excess heart paper from the top of the card because I had originally intended to have the dogs at the bottom of the card.  Next, I stamped the "yappy" sentiment from Dog Hugs Stamps on a piece of turquoise paper which I cut out and added to a piece of black before adding it to my heart "sky".  I felt it needed just a touch more turquoise so I added a strip of glitter tape.  Here's a closer look:
