CTS #257

Hi, you guys!  Sorry the blog has been so quite the past two weeks.  It has been nuts here in Iowa.  I've been having a blast helping out more at the gym and the boys just seem to get busier and busier.  My oldest is done with wrestling but has his first job interview this afternoon so I'm sure things aren't going to get any less crazy since I still have to drive him around.  Ha ha!  Not to worry, I will soon adapt to this new level of crazy.  Don't we all?

One thing you can always count on is that you will absolutely get a post from me every Thursday because I can't resist a good sketch and today's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge is one of my favorites!  I loved Michele's sketch the first time and I loved it again this go round.  I hope you'll join us and have some fun with it also.  Here's my new take:

I had some serious fun with this sketch and some awesome stamps from The Stamp Market.  I started with a white card base and stamped the Dotted Background Stamp up a portion of the card to represent the flowers in the sketch.  Next, I tore some vellum and stamped the "happy" from Holiday Hellos and embossed it in teal (I also did a pink version) before adding the remainder of the sentiment and attaching the vellum to the card by wrapping it around the card front.  My vellum was still a little loose so I added a strip of black to the bottom to cover some adhesive I used on the vellum.  Finally, I finished it off with some asterisks and an enamel dot.  Here's a closer look:

Now for my original take on the sketch, CTS #156:

Different but equally fun!  You can see my original post for more info on this card.  I'm so happy you stopped by today and I hope to see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  Have a great week!
