CTS #240

Good morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful day and are ready to play along with us over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I think you'll love the sketch and all the different ways the design team thought to use it.  I hope you'll enjoy my take and then come join us with a creation of your own.  We'd love to see it!

Here's what I created:

The inspiration for the card was agates!  This is a great way to use scraps you may have laying around your craft desk.  We have spent a few summers in Michigan and my father, the rock hound that he, spent his time walking along the beaches searching for agates.  Here's a peek at the inside that inspired me:

Once I had my inspiration, I had to find just the right way to get these wavy patterns onto my card.  I decided that the Lil' Inker Designs Deco Edge Border Dies was just right for giving me the look I wanted.  I started cutting various papers, some solid and some with a watercolor pattern.  I layered these on my first corner and trimmed off the overhang before starting on the second.  When I got my layers on, I was super excited because the Deco Edge Border Dies gave me just the look I was going for!  I finished it off with a sentiment from Modern Mandala Stamps.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed how my crazy mind works today.  Have a great day and I'll see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch!
