CTS #229

Good morning you guys!  It's time for another awesome sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  This week has been a blast because it started with a visit and lunch with an awesome lady and her husband!  I got to meet Michele in the flesh!!!  It was SO awesome to get to hug her and chat.  We had a blast and I can't wait to head up to her neck of the woods to say hi again.  :)  She's every bit as sweet as you would expect...maybe even sweeter!  I know she's having a blast on her amazing trip but next time, Michele, Iowa has some cool things to stay and see.  Ha ha ha ha!  I'm stealing this picture of us from Michele's Instagram because I am absolutely terrible at taking photos...I really need to work on that!

This week's sketch is super fun.  I love all the possibility with it.  You will love how many different ways the team made and there own and our guest designer hit it out of the park.  So, make sure to stop by the CAS(E) this Sketch blog to see the sketch and the team's takes.  Here's my creation:

I used some watercolor looking patterned paper and cut it into tile like shapes before adding them to the bubbly looking paper with foam tape.  Next, I used some new dies from the July Frantic Stamper release to create an underwater scene.  I cut the Coral and Seaweed Oval from black cardstock and then trimmed the coral and seaweed from the oval to add to the corner of my card.  Next, I cut one of the Three Fish from black also and sent him swimming in the tiled sea.  I added some enamel dots for bubbles and a sentiment sticker.  I liked it but wasn't in love so, I decided it needed a black frame to make the other black pop.  Since I had already stuck everything in place, I broke out a ruler and a maker and drew a frame in.  It's not perfect but I actually love the hand drawn look.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my blog and I hope to see you at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I love that you changed the tile sizes, and your hand-drawn black frame puts all elements together Hideko
