Hopefully, you started out at the the Lil' Inker Blog so you don't miss a stop on the hop and have come here from the amazing Amy's blog. If you are feeling a little lost, make sure you hop back to the Lil' Inker Blog to get back on the trail of fun. You can also check out the Lil' Inker Store where all of the new release goodies, and a whole lot more, are ready and waiting for you to put in your cart!
For today's first card I used Blossoms Banners Stamps, Blossoms Banners Dies, and the Quilted Stitched Basket Weave Die.
I started by stamping an image and sentiment from Blossoms Banners Stamps on white cardstock and coloring it with copics. I cut out my final image using the Blossoms Banners Dies and got working on my cardbase. I loved how the colors I chose for the flowers looked on kraft so I created a cardbase by creating a fun background using the Quilted Stitched Basket Weave Die and cutting the card out with a Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangle. I placed my banner with some foam tape and arranged some clear sequins around the image. Here's another look of the
finished project:
My final card for this release uses the really gorgeous Lovely and Sweet Stamps.
I placed the parts of the Lovely and Sweet Stamps that I wanted to stamp with on my Misti and starting with the lightest color in this ombre, I inked and stamped, inked with the next darker color leaving a portion of the stamp uninked, and restamped until I got this awesome ombre look on the sentiment. It took a little time but with the Misti, it was easy to get it lined up each time. I added some white gel pen to spots to ensure the hightlights were crisp. Then I fussy cut the sentiment out layering it on some papers cut with some Dual Stitched Rectangles. A bunch of sequins later and you have a fun monochromatic card. Here's another look:
Chrissy Larson <---Yup, that's me!!!
