Lil' Inker Designs January Release Day #2

It's day two of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Hop and I get to share even more fun goodies with you today!  I'm sure you've already been eyeing all the awesome new items, lucky for you, you can get it all right now in the Lil' Inker Store.  Hopefully, you checked out all of Angel's amazing creations before hopping here.  If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog.  For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!

My first card uses the super cool, Be Mine Greeting Die.

My card started with this super fun rainbow striped paper.  I thought it would be awesome with the Be Mine Greeting Die cut out and showing a fun pattern behind.  However, I felt it needed a little more black and white to make it work how I envisioned.  So, I found some black and white striped paper to add with the pattern going in a different direction and cut using Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles.  I layered this on the card front, aligned the Be Mine Greeting Die and cut through both layers of paper ensuring that awesome stitching would be on both and tie it together.   Next, I ran the card front through my die cutter using the Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles to add a little stitching to the edges before adding a bit of vellum to the underside of my heart to soften the look of the XO patterned paper peeking through.  Here's a closer look:

Next up, I used the Fringe Scalloped Heart Dies again today to frame a gorgeous heart created using the Filled Heart Stamp Set and the Dual Stitched Heart and Kisses Word Die Set.

I started by making a window using the Fringe Scalloped Heart Dies in this cool red paper.  I added this to a black card base and then started cutting layers using the Be Mine Greeting Die to add a thin red stitched boarder around the heart I cut using Dual Stitched Heart and Kisses Word Die Set and embossed red using the Filled Heart Stamp Set.  I added a black glitter handcut banner between the two heart layers and then added the "kisses" cut in black using Dual Stitched Heart and Kisses Word Die Set to my heart.  I finished the card off with some sequins and a puffy heart sticker to add a little more black to the card.  Here's a closer look:

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura is giving away the ENTIRE RELEASE to one lucky commenter.  It could be you.  I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects.  See you then!

Chrissy Larson <---Yup, that's me!!!

Don't forget you can check out the new release right now in the Lil' Inker Store and you can get all the goodies I used today.  Here's what I used:

  6. Both cards are gorgeous and I love the color schemes. I
love the more masculine feel to the first. I feel like
mine are always just a little too feminine for my hubby - so I appreciate the inspiration here.

  34. Hello Chrissy, I LOVE your "Kitty Hugger,' card from January 12, 2017. I would love to know what you used to make your "patterny" background. It is stunning! I have unsuccessfully perused the entire Lil Inker site looking for a stamp with those words, or some DP with that print. Would you mind revealing what it is? Thank you!

    1. Hi, Sandy! It is actually patterned paper. I'll check through my stash and see if I can identify exactly where it came from. :)

    2. The paper pack it came from is Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith You are Loved Collection.
