Lil' Inker Designs October Release Day 3!

Well, it's the last day of our new release hop at Lil' Inker Designs and I'm super excited to show off these last couple products.  Hopefully, you started out at the the Lil' Inker Blog so you don't miss a stop on the hop and have come here from the amazing Angel's blog.  If you are feeling a little lost, make sure you hop back to the Lil' Inker Blog to get back on the trail of fun.  You can also check out the Lil' Inker Store where all of the new release goodies, and a whole lot more, are ready and waiting for you to put in your cart!

For my first card, I'm featuring All The Christmas You'll Ever Need 2 Stamp Set and the Dual Stitched Christmas Tree Dies.

I started my shaker card by cutting my cardbase and patterned paper using the largest Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.  Then I positioned my Dual Stitched Christmas Tree in the corner and added a layer of vellum to the backside of the cut before stamping it with a sentiment from the All The Christmas You'll Ever Need 2 Stamp Set.  I loved how the sentiment was shaped like a tree and fit so nicely into my tree cut.  After adding my foam tape and filler, I layered my front onto my card base.  I used a glitter chipboard star to accent the tree but it still looked bare in the corner.  I played around with stars and snowflakes but I wasn't loving any of them.  That's when I remembered the Circles Banners Dies.  A cut from some metallic red was just what it needed.  Here's a closer peek:

My next creation is going to stay right in this spot on my end table through Christmas.  I love how it turned out.  I created this frame using the Dual Stitched Christmas Tree Dies and the Filled Christmas Tree Stamps.

I had all kinds of fabric scraps hanging around my desk area after making some hoop art.  I looked at it and got to thinking about making a fun framed piece for my Christmas decor.  I started by attaching a gray polkadot fabric piece to a piece of foam board and sliding that into the frame.  Next I used the Dual Stitched Christmas Tree Dies to cut trees from some fun and rustic Christmas papers.  I stuck these onto my framed fabric piece using foam tape to add dimension.  I wanted to add a little more interest to the center chalkboard tree by stamping and embossing it with the Filled Christmas Tree Stamps.  Now I had two trees with layers but my final tree needed something.  A red button with some twine was just right to finish it off.  I liked my creation but felt it needed just a little something to draw your eye directly to the trees.  So, I added some black jute mesh on the top and bottom to frame my image even more.  Here's a side shot to show you the dimension:

My final card for this release uses the 'Tis the Season Stamp Set and a whole lot of layers!

When I saw this stamp set, I had this crazy idea of piecing it with embossing and layers of gray.  So, I grabbed all my gray cardstock and started stamping and embossing the 'Tis the Season Stamp Set over and over.  Then I started picking which layers would be which shade of gray and got to cutting and layering.  Some layers I popped with foam tape and some I just layered with adhesive.  When I had the banner and everything all layered, I hoped it would be finished but it felt like it needed a little something more especially being a Christmas card.  So, I added a chunk of glitter paper but I still didn't like it so I added a bit of red metallic with the Stitched Scallop Border Die.  Finally, I added a stripe of dark gray just to finish it off.  Then I had to stop!  Ha ha!  Here's a closer look:

I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop.  You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura is giving away the ENTIRE NEW RELEASE to a lucky commenter during the new release hop.  You have until October 30th at 11:30PM EST to comment.  The winner could be you.  I hope you enjoyed our new release!  We love sharing these awesome products with you!  Be sure to keep hopping, here's the list:
