Hi, you guys! It's been pretty quiet on my blog lately and I'm looking to change that! My goal from here on out is to post to the blog at least 3 days of the week. So, I hope you'll check back regularly to see what I'm busy creating. I love sharing with you guys and I've let my busy schedule dictate how often I get to do that. Things are starting to slow down a bit and I'm just plain missing getting out and about in the blogging world. Get ready to see more of me. :) I'm starting it off with my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I hope you'll enjoy it!
To get the plaid look of the sketch, I used the Lil' Inker Designs Cover Up Die - Stitches & Stripes. I cut one from an ombre polkadot paper and then a second from vellum. I flipped the vellum piece over before attaching it to my card front. The nice thing is, you can still see the awesome stitching through the vellum. It really gave this card a fun look. I added a metallic "birthday" die cut from Reverse Confetti and finished off the sentiment with a little stamp surgery to remove the "wishes" from a sentiment in Awesome Blossoms. It all came together quite nicely. I hope you agree!
Please come join me and the rest of the team over at CAS(E) this Sketch for a super fun sketch this week. I think you are going to love what the rest of the team created. They are absolutely amazing! I look forward to seeing more of you guys around the blog and hope you'll check back here soon! Have a great Thursday!
Oh, this is wonderful, Chrissy! I love your super fun take on the sketch!

I like the increasing gradient of light green (Mint Macaroon?) from top to bottom. Is that from the DSP or did you color that?
ReplyDeleteGreat card, really clever how you achieved that great plaid look. Love the birthday word die you used. Karen x
