Hi, everyone! I hope you guys are having a wonderful week. We are gearing up for a fun filled weekend. My niece is getting married this weekend and we are just SO excited for her. She was the flower girl in our wedding and it has been such a joy watching her grow up into an awesome woman. Micah is going to be the ring bearer and he's super excited about it except he's not so sure he wants to stand up front. Ha ha ha! I thought I'd share a picture of us at one of Kenzie's basketball games. We just loved watching her play. You could see her passion for the game all over her face and she's just as passionate about everything else she cares for. It's something I truly admire about this young lady. She knows how to give it her all. Congrats Kenzie and Kalib! I can't wait to see where your life together takes you. I have no doubt it will be full of fun!
As you can see, I had brought my own basketball to the game, ha ha! I was pregnant with Micah at the time of this picture. What fun!!
Now for my CAS(E) this Sketch card for the week. I tried a little masking and inking this week and it was a ton of fun.
First, I stamped Mama Elephant's Photo Bomb and then masked over it so I could ink to the edges of my card stock with distress ink. I didn't want tons of competing colors so I went for some black and white coloring. I'm still working on my black and white coloring. It isn't as easy as I thought and I need to get some more shades of gray. Darn, more shopping. ;) I finished the whole thing off with a portion of Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Border cut from an orange metallic paper. Super simple but I think it makes a great birthday card.
I hope you enjoyed my post today and that you'll join us over at CAS(E) this Sketch for some fun this week!
