Light It Up Blue!
Good morning everyone! Today is a special day, it's the Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Bloghop! I'm very happy to be a part of this amazing bloghop and if it opens the eyes of just one person or teaches someone a little something, it's a huge success in my mind. It just warms my heart to be a part of a hobby that is full of people with such big hearts. Autism touches the lives of a few very special people in my life and I'm blessed to know these unique and amazing individuals as well as the strong and amazing family and friends that support them in everything they do. I hope my little blog post can put a smile on their faces, at least for a day. Love you guys!
We have so many fantastic sponsors that have shown their support for Autism Awareness and you can see the complete list here: Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Bloghop. If you would like a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous companies leave a comment on this blog, and any of the other blogs participating in today's hop! Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday April 6. To participate in the hop and to see all the other participants entries, make sure to check out this link. Here's my blue for the day!
I used some fun blue patterned papers and cardstock to make these stars pop. The stars are the Stitched Stars Die Set from Lil' Inker Designs and I took full advantage of their double stitching to use the negatives on my card front to peek through to the chevron paper behind. After I layered my stars, I went to work on my sentiment using Hello, Awesome Stamps and the Awesome Word Die, which I LOVE! I embossed the "Wow! You're" in white on navy vellum and then added the "Awesome" diecut. I cut around my sentiment and added it and some extra bling to really light the whole card up!
I hope you enjoyed my card today and I hope you'll join us on this amazing bloghop! For more information about autism, make sure you check out Autism Speaks. Here's a look at what I used for my card:
