Happy Thursday, everyone! It's time for another CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and I'm sharing mine with you from our vacation in the upper peninsula of Michigan. We are hanging out in Ontonagon and having a blast! The boys can't decide whether to collect rocks, skip rocks, build castles, launch drift wood back into the water, etc. Needless to say, we are having a great time. Here's a quick picture of us at the Lake of the Clouds:
The best part of the whole trip is seeing my dad and how far he has come since his injury in the fall. If you don't remember, he had some serious injuries to his legs after a fall from a tree stand. His main goal when he started PT was to be able to hunt for rocks with my boys on our vacation and it makes me SO happy to see him down on the beach with the boys noses to the sand looking for the perfect rock or sea (lake?) glass. It's just awesome!
This week's sketch is also awesome and I hope you'll come join us at CAS(E) this Sketch to play along. Here's my card:
I had a ton of fun making this bright birthday card. I used this really awesome pack of pattern paper that I got at Target awhile ago. All the papers are SO much fun. I knew I had to use some fun products to go with it so I grabbed my Lil' Inker Designs Instant Camera Die to cut my green paper. I was going to swap out the center cut for a different pattern but when I played around, I liked the stripes on the whole panel best. Next, I cut the Boxed Up Birthday Greeting Die out of some bright pink paper and layered that on my stripes. I wanted something a little extra in the corner of my greeting so I added a cut heart from Of the Heart Dies. I layered this all on a fun kraft paper with bright pink words and added some enamels shapes and bling.
I hope you like my take on the sketch and will join us at CAS(E) this Sketch for a fun challenge this week. Here are the products I used for my card:
Chrissy I love that area so much! Enjoy your time with Dad, and give my regards to the UP - I'll have the coffee ready, if you do decide to stop! Did you know I invited a guest this week for CTS? I know you'll love her...
