A Blingy Engagement!

Hi everyone!  Sorry I have been so quiet lately but I'm back after getting some super exciting news!  My niece is engaged and, boy, am I excited for her.  She's planning the wedding for this summer so, she's got tons of work ahead of her.  With this fun news in mind, I just had to make her a card and it couldn't have been any better timing since the December Lil' Inker Designs release was jam packed with faceted, blingy, goodness!  Here's what I came up with for her.

She's a big fan of peacock colors and teal is going to be BIG in her wedding.  So I took some teal cardstock and using Sketch #103 from CAS(E) this Sketch, I layered the Cover Up Die: Faceted on my teal cardstock.  I punched out the hidden heart in the die and colored some copic paper to fill the spots.  Next, I cut an ampersand from the All About Ampersand Die Set and placed it on my heart.  I stamped two K's from the Alphabet Gems Stamps on vellum, cut them out, and attached them on either side of the &.  I finished the whole thing off with a few little blingy pieces.

I hope you like my card and I can't wait to send it off to my niece.  How exciting for her...even if it does make me feel old since she was the flower girl in my wedding!  Ahhh!!  ;)  Have a great day!

  1. What a gorgeous card! Was wondering how you stamped the K&K...love that you used vellum. Your niece will adore this!
