Happy Thursday everyone! This is my second post for today (isn't that an odd occurrence on my blog? Ha!). If you are looking for my Lil' Inker Designs Day 2 release post, it's right below this one or you can click here to head straight there. ;)
Today is a great day all around for me. I got to share some of my favorite cards in my Lil' Inker post, I get to share the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge with you which includes a card of mine that I'm sort of in love with, AND my dad comes home today! I am so thrilled that he's on his way home and we have the whole place all ready for him. I keep reminding him that he's got over 4 weeks down in the wheelchair so he's over half way to being able to put some weight on his legs. I know being home will make the time go much faster and lift his spirits. I will be glad when all of this is just a distant memory and he's chasing the grand kids around the yard pretending to be a zombie.
I suppose you are here to see the new sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch, right? ;) Here it is:
I LOVE THIS SKETCH! In fact, I've already made another card using it but I have to wait until I get home to Iowa on Sunday so I can photograph it. Don't worry, you'll see it before this challenge closes. Here's the card I made using the sketch for the week:
I made this card during my crafty weekend with some AMAZING ladies. It was so fun to get to see and use everyone's' crafty goodies and when I saw this hello die from Mama Elephant, I knew I was using it and probably buying it. Ha ha! I cut it out of cork and for some reason when I use cork, I almost always go with a yellow and mint color combo. I just love them together. My papers are from a Studio Calico card kit and I added a little banner of vellum too for a little extra fun. I didn't bring any bling with me to the get together so I used some Stickles that I had to make my own bling. I think I like them on this card more than I would have liked enamel dots or anything else. Funny how that works out. ;)
I hope you enjoyed my card and will join us this week at CAS(E) this Sketch. We'd love to have you! I'm off to make a little banner for my dad's homecoming! Have a great day!
Super cute! And I really adore that die - I used it, too, that weekend and now I must have it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your card, Chrissy! Great take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI think we could all play a game of eye spy on our blogs from our cards we made at our fabulous weekend. Love this beauty!
ReplyDeleteMuch to applaud in this post, Chrissy: your dad coming home (wild cheering on that!), your opportunity to meet up with crafting friends, to create, celebrate and all around enjoy companionship, and of course, your gorgeous card! Fun and fabulous!
