CTS #88

It's Thursday again and that means it's time for another CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!  I can hardly wait to share this sketch with you because it is SO fun!  First I wanted to share a picture from the Iowa State Fair.  We spent a good portion of the week last week at family bible camp.  It was a blast but instead of going home and letting the crazy wind down, we loaded the kids up in the van and headed to the State Fair.  Why wouldn't you want to drag exhausted kids to the fair?  Ha ha!  Luckily, we had a great time even if everyone was a little tired.  My favorite picture of the day was the one captured by the camera on the Crazy Mouse roller coaster.  I used to LOVE roller coasters, I mean really REALLY LOVE.  As I have gotten older, that love has diminished greatly and nothing shows that more than this picture.  Are you ready?

Two boys smiling and laughing and a mom that looks like she is going to cry!  Ha ha!  Well, one thing I'm not afraid of is a good sketch and, boy, do we have a great one over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  Here it is:

For my card this week, I decided to use some circle punches and dies to make a mask.  I used my mask to add these fun circles to my card with some distress ink (Donna inspired my inking and my layout this week!).  After I inked it all up, I knew it needed a little something more so I decided to stamp with my mask in place using the Basic Grey/Hero Arts Persimmon Vertical Arrows background stamp.  I loved how that turned out!  I finished the card off with some kraft embossing using Winnie & Walter's The Big, the Bold, and the Happy set.  LOVE how it all turned out and you can bet I will be making more of this card in various color combos.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and will play along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch!  Have a great day!
