One Super SWEET May Release!

Hope you are having a SWEET day.  It's a perfect day for a new release from Sweet Stamp Shop, don't you think?  If you haven't already checked out the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, you will want to do that.  The design team has really created some amazing things this go round.

I got to play with a new set that I know will become a staple in your stamp arsenal, Handcrafted.  This set is AWESOME and will make for card backs that are as fun as your card fronts.  Don't believe me?  Check out what I've created with this set.

My first card front uses Elegant Sentiments to create a really fun birthday card.  I wanted the back to look like it goes with the front so I brought some of the gold to the back.  Then I found a banner die cut in the same color as my card front to be the home to my cute Handcrafted sentiment.  Since this card had glitter and bling, I knew this sentiment was perfect!  I used the "by" portion from another sentiment in this set and then signed my name to finish the banner.  Finally, I tossed a star on there.  Hey, a little extra sparkle never hurts, right?

I love the "watercolored by" sentiment in this set.  It even looks like it was watercolored when you stamp it!  LOVE!  I knew I needed to use it which meant that I was going to be watercoloring my card.  Then I had the idea that my favorite squirrel from Cheeky should hold a sign with my "watercolored by" on it.  This idea led to my nut card front.  How funny that the back of my card actually inspired the front.  Seems backwards but it totally worked for this card.  I am not a huge fan of my signature so I decided to use alphabet stickers for my name instead.  It turned out super cute and how cool that the back is just as fun as the front?

The boys and I have been doing tons of crafty projects in the last couple weeks so I was totally inspired to create a crafty birthday card using the Artsy Fartsy stamp set.  After I finished my stamping, coloring, cutting, and layering, I turned my attention to the back of this fun card.  I wanted to add a little personality to the back and what better way to do that than with the world's cutest panda, Panda Face?  When I saw his little "oops" face, I knew he was going to have a bit of a crafty oops on the back of my card.  Again, the sentiments from Handcrafted fit perfectly to create a super fun card back.  How cute is "paper and glue and me too"...I just adore it!

I hope you enjoyed a little peek at both sides of my cards.  To be honest, I don't usually put a ton of effort into the back of a card but Handcrafted will be making me think twice about spicing things up on the back.  I mean, we have two sides to the outside of a card...why not make the most of both of them?
