I've got to say that Dawn truly inspired me with today's
Make It Monday video and challenge. I think I made my favorite card in a very long while. I'm giddy with how much I like how it turned out. Dawn's video was all about using your ink pads as watercolors. She made a gorgeous card using ink pads, a brush, and water to color in a stamped image. I took it a little different route once I got out all my supplies. I took a look at the acrylic block I was going to use to blot my ink on and decided it would actually make a really neat background. So, my idea was totally changed at that moment. I positioned the block on my watercolor paper so I knew where to place it once it was all inked up. Then I covered it with my 4 different inks and sprayed it with water. Finally, using my inked/wet acrylic block as a stamp, I stamped it onto the water color paper. It made the perfect night sky for the rest of my card. I highly recommend trying your ink pads to get a water color look...totally AWESOME!
