We Are Back For A Playdate!

Well, we survived our little mini vacation.  I'm not sure how much of a vacation it was but we did it.  I think all it did was confirm that mom and I are not city mouses.  We are perfectly suited for our lives in the country.  It was crazy and hectic but one great thing did come of it.  My architecturally minded eldest got to see what he's been DYING to see...

The Empire State Building was the highlight of his trip and his smile was the highlight of mine.  While we had some fun, we cut our trip short because it was just too stressful trying to keep 3 boys together on the busy streets.  We found ourselves lecturing them more than enjoying them and who wants to do that?

Now that we are back at my mom's, I had some time to make a card for the latest challenge at the Play Date Cafe!  I just got a new stamp set and this inspiration was the perfect opportunity to use it!  Check it out:

So soft and pretty!  Again, not colors I usually use but they really appeal to me when all combined.  I hope you like my take!  My favorite part is where I ran the pattern paper behind the stamped image.   I didn't want to layer it because I didn't feel like cutting out the poppy.  So, a couple slits on either side of the bottle and the paper slid through perfectly.  Woo hoo!

Stamps: Poppy Bottles (Stampendous, Typically Teen (The Crafts Meow)
Inks:  Tuxedo Black (Momento), Melon Berry, Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist (PTI)
Paper:  Grid Lines (PTI), PB&J 6x6 (Basic Grey)
Misc:  Copic Markers, Bling
