Two for one!

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day that I spent the entire day out with the boys!  It is just as beautiful today and since it was our first official day of summer break, we went and had a nice summery morning at the park!  I guess I'm really feeling the summery mood and my card reflects that today!  I loved the idea of combining patterned papers presented by Betsy for the Make it Monday Challenge this week!  With all of PTI's new pattern paper packs in such fun colors, I knew I could find some summery prints!  I decided to use the Retro Sketches:  Sketch #12 Challenge for my card as well!  Isn't it the coolest sketch?  I love the rounded corners that give the sketch movement!  So fun!


Here's my submission for both of these challenges.  For some reason, it makes me crave a glass of lemonade.  Hmmm....

Dies: Lowercase (Clear & Simple Stamps), Flipping Out (PTI)
Paper:  Classic Kraft, Aqua Mist, Aqua Mist pattern pack, Distressed Dots (All PTI), Salt Air 6x6 pad (Cosmo Cricket)
Misc:  Foam Tape (Scotch), Corner Chomper (Crop-A-Dile), orange rhinestones from my stash

    I love your card! the sandals are perfect and I really love how you cut out the HELLO and have pattern paper behind it! Very clever! I love flip flops...wish I could wear them year round, but I live in Oregon (as I sit here typing it is dumping outside! but I guess that is why it is so GREEN here! ha!)

    Oh your card is so sweet! It makes me think of walking on a sandy beach...just hope it gets warm enough to do it soon! It rained all day today here in Seattle.....thanks for helping me see the sun in your pretty card!

    Your card is so adorable and love how you used the same patterned paper for your flip flops and behind your sentiment...can I order a pair of flip flops in that color too? Just too cute.
