Today I decided to focus on two fun challenges that I've been wanting to participate in!
Moxie Fab World's Gingham Challenge and the challenge using
Retro Sketches RS #10. I decided to make a card incorporating both of these challenges. I must admit the first is tough for me as I do not typically use gingham because I'm not really a fan. It reminds me too much of seersucker fabric (which I HATE). I decided I could see if there was any way I could put gingham to good use for me. So, I decided I needed some chickens in the mix...I mean what goes together better than gingham and chickens? Not much! I LOVED the sketch this week over at
Retro Sketches and knew it would be perfect for my gingham and chickens! Here's the sketch:
I decided to flip it on it's side to give my chicken room to roam! Hope you like my card and my gingham (the chicks on the inside are gingham too)...I might be coming around.
Stamps: e-i-e-i-o (My Cute Stamps), Even More Punny-licious (My Pink Stamper), Border: Grass (Clear & Simple Stamps)
Inks: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse (PTI)
Paper: Hawaiian Shores, Aqua mist gingham (PTI), White (Hero Arts)
Misc: Maraschino twine (The Twinery), red gems, paper tape, Foam Tape (Scotch), colored pencils
This is TOO CUTE!!! LOVE the colors you've used--so bright and cheery! :)
