Thinking of you EARLY this morning! ;)

I've been hard at work to rebuild my card stash for the year and replenish my card selection at my friend Karen's shop. Throw in a day off of school for my oldest, having all three boys at home, and trying to redesign the website for my husband's company and you have a busy 3-day weekend! Luckily, Sunday school crafts were easy this week so I didn't have to prep too much for that. I have been playing with the same papers that I used on my sympathy cards in my last post. It is by American Crafts and is an older style called Metropolitan Museum. I'm a sucker for any lime/avocado/pea colored greens so I really LOVE this paper. Luckily, it is a nice classy design so it works well for sympathy and thinking of you cards.

My first card is simple:

Just a scrap of the paper I've been using on the bottom of the 9.5" x 4" Bazzill card. I tied a piece of Papertrey Ink black ribbon around the top of the scrap and luckily I found this Making Memories Glitter Bling frame that I have been hoarding because I LOVE it! It worked perfect with some black card stock behind it, a Versamarked swirly design, and finally my thinking of you stamp from Papertrey Ink. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

This second card was inspired by Kristina's Finally Friday valentine card. I loved how the kraft layer was popped up to add dimension. I cut my craft layer at 8.25" x 3.25" and cut a 2.5"' circle out of the center with my circle cutter. The owls are Glitz rub ons that I also have been hoarding. Finish it off with the same ribbon used above, a thinking of you stamp, and some "stitching" drawn on and you have a really cute card!

Thanks for checking out my site and I look forward to sharing more!
