Lil' Inker Designs and Spring Coffee Lovers Blogshop

 

Today's the day we all get to rejoice in the wonderment that is coffee!!  How much do I love thee, let me count the ways.  Well, that would take far too long!  I am blessed to be in the company of tons of other amazing coffee lovers and card makers.  What a great mix so make sure you check out all the amazing creations all along the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  Here's the card I created for this super fun hop.

I knew I wanted to go with some crazy florals for this card...it is Spring after all!  Luckily, my latest Clique Kit was packed with flowers and fun papers from the Shimelle Little by Little collection.  I knew the flowers from the cardstock diecuts were just the colors and fun I was looking for to go with the amazing Lil' Inker Designs Coffee Cozy Die Set.  I started with a black cardbase but added a touch of stitching using Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles.  I cut a piece of patterned paper from my kit at an angle to show a little of the cardbase.  Next, I got crazy layering my flowers.  I just love these bright colors.  With all my flowers in place, I got to work creating my coffee cup.  With all the busy parts on this card, I decided a simple cup would be best.  So I went with black, cream, and kraft cut with Coffee Cozy Die Set.  Next, I added a purple heart to my cozy and a vellum strip stamped with my sentiment from Coffee Cozy Stamps.  Finally, I scattered some sequins about and glued them down.  Here's a closer look:

Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I started with this adorable floral paper that I cut with the largest Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles.  Then I created two more panels of color using Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles.  The best part, the most adorable coffee cups that I cut with various patterns in the same color scheme as the floral.  I cut these all out with Coffee Cozy Die Set.  I added a bloom that I cut from the floral scrap paper to added to my center coffee cup.  I used glossy accents on the darker petals to make them shine and finally added some enamel hearts to the other two cups.  My sentiment is from Coffee Cozy Stamps.
