It's Thursday again and time for another fun challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch! My youngest two boys are busy having a blast this week at camp and while you think I'd be enjoying the quiet, I miss them!!!! Luckily, I get to pick them up tomorrow but then my oldest heads to Ohio for Air Camp. It's going to be such an awesome experience for him. It's odd for me to think that my kids don't have the experience of living on an Air Force Base or even close to one. It was such a huge part of my life and it makes me laugh when they don't understand me when I talk about the Commissary or BX. It also makes me chuckle that without the constant buzz of AC-130s flying over, my oldest still has the aircraft bug. He can hardly wait to get back up there. He'll head out Sunday and then I have get to pick him up Friday. Of course, it can't be that easy. My middle guy has Tumbling Nationals in Madison, WI on Thursday and Brent will me in Alabama for his USAF Reserve time. So, I get to drive to WI and OH this week. Lucky for me, my parents are going to meet me in Ohio.
So, that's what's happening here. I hope your days are a little less crazy and that you'll have the time to join us for the sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch. I had a great time with this one and I know you will too. Here's my card:
I flipped the sketch on the side for this one and used the same awesome stamp set from Penny Black called All Great Things. I just love the style of these stamps and the sentiments can't be beat. I played with the patterns for awhile before deciding on two very different polka dot papers. When I got all the papers layered, I added some chipboard feathers and sequins...making it a little less CAS but a little more fun. :) Here's a closer look:
Thanks so much for checking out my card today! I hope to see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch.
Can you make it to Michigan before the end of the month? We're heading your way July 1!!
ReplyDeleteI adore your dots, Chrissy ... and the feathers - nope still don't own a feather set! Be safe, have fun! xx
