CTS #164

It's a gorgeous day here in Iowa and I hope you are enjoying the same great weather.  We are getting ready to head out into the sun and I can't wait to feel a little warmth on my face.  I just love this early spring!  It's awesome!  Today's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge is super fun this week and I hope you'll join us!  Here's my take:

Again, I used a simple combo of patterned papers to create my card and then simply added a sentiment stamp.  Super easy but super cute.  I made this card both in this peachy color and in a turquoise.  I love them both!

Thanks for checking out my take on the sketch and I hope you'll play along this week!  See you over at CAS(E) this Sketch

  1. Hi Chrissy,

I'm impressed with the simplicity of your card - I have oh so hard a time to do that. the pink is a perfect gentle contrast for the bold black and white stripes.

  2. This card is so awesome in its simplicity. Stripes, color, and a sentiment can make SUCH an impact.

  3. This may be a silly question, but how do you get the papers perfectly the same size as the card base? Or do you get it as close as possible and then trim any overlay after it's stuck down, to neaten it up? I'm seeing lots of cards where papers cover the whole lot and I think how do they get the paper so perfectly even along the edges. Thanks.

    1. Not silly at all! I do my best to measure them correctly the first time but undoubtedly I always have a sliver of overhang. So, I just trim it all at the end to make sure it all matches up. :)
