Retro Sketches #23

There is just something about a new Retro Sketch that makes me smile and this week is no exception.  In fact, I looked at the sketch and immediately went down to my mom's craft room and made my card.  If that is not inspired, I don't know what is.  Check out the sketch:

I turned it around to the long side of the card but otherwise, I saw no reason to mess with perfection!  See what I mean:

Stamps:  Typically Teen (The Crafts Meow)
Dies:  Uppercase, Numbers (Clear & Simple Stamps)
Inks:  Orange Zest, Harvest Gold (PTI)
Paper:  New Leaf, Enchanted Evening, Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, Grid Lines (PTI)
Misc:  Foam Tape (Scotch),White Pen (Uniball), Bubbly Bling

Another cool thing I discovered this week...people other than my mom, my husband, and myself like my cards!  How cool is that?  How do I know?  The card I made here, was featured on Avery Elle's blog this week!  Then to make my week even better, this card made for Retro Sketches challenge last week was the Creation Blvd Showcase over at The Alley Way Stamps' blog.  I am so honored and it gives me a nice warm fuzzy to see my cards out there in blog land!  Thanks so much to both Avery Elle and TAWS!  You guys are awesome!

We will be traveling back home to Iowa on Saturday.  It's hard to believe that seven weeks in New York with my parents went by so fast.  It's going to be so lonesome in my craft space.  :(  What a fun trip we had though.  We are headed to Bolt Castle tomorrow as our last big outing.  I think the boys will get a kick out of it.  Have a great week!
